Today, marks the 45th anniversary of the Brinks robbery, when a group of domestic terrorists murdered #Nyack Police Sgt. Edward Grady, Nyack Police Officer Waverly "Chipper" Brown and Brinks guard Peter Paige. Their dedication to service and commitment to sacrifice is something we must never take for granted. May we never forget the memories of Peter Paige, Edward O'Grady, and Waverly “Chipper” Brown. And may we honor their legacy by always backing our incredible law enforcement heroes.

Today, we pause to remember the victims of the horrific terrorist attack in Israel on October 7th. We remember every life stolen, every family devastated, every community forever changed, and those who were taken hostage from their loved ones. May the victims never be forgotten, may those still suffering find healing and strength, and may we continue to hope and work for a future where innocent lives are protected and peace prevails. It was a true pleasure to join so many friends, family and supporters of Lauren Shields for the announcement of legislation by @NYSenatorWeber to honor the life and legacy of Lauren by renaming Rockland Lake’s Nature Center the “Lauren Shields Nature Center.” Lauren was an extraordinary human being who touched so many lives through her personal story and organ donation advocacy. It was deeply moving to hear personal accounts of Lauren’s impact from those who were fortunate to know her and work with her, and from her amazing mother Jeanne Shields. Today’s announcement comes on the anniversary of the signing of Lauren’s Law, and it was wonderful to hear from former Senator @DavidCarlucci, who championed that legislation during his tenure in office. May the Lauren Shields Nature Center serve as a source of remembrance, inspiration and hope, and may we never forget Lauren’s memory.
