“We hear you.” UK Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband, speaking at UK Labour party conference this morning.
Thank you to the millions of people in Britain and around the world who stood firmly on the side of justice, on the side of Palestine 🇵🇸✊🏽

Before recess I led the Commons debate on our trade with illegal Israeli settlements and I pressed the Government to act.
Today it has. The UK's position on Palestine has been reset: the occupation declared illegal, settlement goods banned and sanctions on those financing expansion..
This is long overdue, but it is never too late to correct injustice.

For Somalilanders, as a Muslim society, it is our belief to visit Mecca once in a lifetime. Similarly, I would advise every Somalilander to visit these two historic sites for our country:
1. The Hargeisa Monument (Taalada): Dedicated to Barre Xaji Cilmi, the first student whose death in 1982 sparked the Somaliland liberation struggle.
2. Connaught Hall in London: The place where a few Somalilanders founded the SNM in 1981 to liberate their country. Without them, #Somaliland might not exist today. @AbdisalamYassi1

Wonderful that £2 million has been announced to repair and refurbish Sheffield College as part of the Government's plan to invest £1.7 billion in colleges. Investment in our educational institutions is paramount to providing secure, safe and supportive learning environments and I'm really pleased Sheffield has been recognised

Urgent action is needed to protect drivers from daylight robbery — private operators must be held accountable and operate within the rules or face full force of law.
We’re cracking down on private car park operators in Sheffield. If they don’t follow the rules then we will fine and shut them down.
And the Labour Government is bringing in tough new standards to clean up the industry and protect drivers thestar.co.uk/business/sheff…
