#Update Day One Report: Today our Rural School Buses commenced an Islandwide tour of the 122 routes ahead of the September 2025 launch. As is expected at the start of any new initiative, there will be teething issues and tweaks to be made. 30 routes were tested today and all were completed with minor adjustments to be made ahead of the launch. Route Testing has revealed a few tyre issues following today's activities. We have already placed orders for the shipment of new tyres to replace the existing tyres on all buses prior to September morning. Until then, the existing tyres on the buses will be used this week, as we complete retrofitting of the buses and the testing of the remaining routes. 30 Routes were testing today in Manchester, Rural St Andrew, St James and Hanover. Again, All tyres will be replaced with new tyres suitable to our road conditions. In the interim, we will use the tyres on the buses in order to meet deadlines ahead of the New School Year. With minor incidents, the launch of the Rural School Bus System is well underway and this testing of the routes was mandated to ensure a smooth rollout Next Month. Whatever issues that we encounter will be unearthed and addressed ahead of the new school year.
