However many you embark your ritual with. One token will be minting that shows you where your light is holding vigil. It holds your journey over the next few days, and it becomes a constellation as the scene expands.

i haven't dropped a rant in a bit. if some cabals wanna keep talking about on-chain art, and only supporting the same gaggle of artists they blew up in the first place, that's on them, but they sure are looking like hypocrites after all that subversive on-chain art talk they pushed for so long. my last fully 100% to the fucking bone on-chain project had so much positive feedback from those very same people, but ultimately failed miserably because barely anybody pulled up to mint. shortly after that, the deployer wallet got flagged as a phishing account. (see: @_iterative_) the other one that was some ipfs hosted token pairing blew the fuck up because as Mac said, people talk a lot but are not genuine/authentic about their intentions, and will simply support whatever will pad their egos and their bags. nothing new, but hey, as artists, we're still exploring new things, and nobody can take that away from us. anyway, Mac makes dope AF art, go support him instead of some big name with an agent-controlled account that hasn't shared somebody else's work in years.
Web3 talks endlessly about fully on-chain art and permanence. I built Signal Rituals: original 3D animations translated into text, with both the animation data and custom renderer living entirely on Ethereum L1. No files, no IPFS, no external hosting. There was no interest. Not a single sale. Maybe I overestimated how much any of this actually matters to people.

The QTs illustrate how group think happens. Pascal is extremely right-wing (he worked on the Zemmour campaign and his mother is a RN MP) but when he tries to correct his own side, he gets massively ratio'd on the assumption that only the enemy would challenge the narrative.
Just in case anyone is wondering: I live in Paris; if I didn’t have X dot com I would have no idea there are riots in France.

All signal you presume to receive from this app should be considered meaningless. Viable solutions seem to have been actively avoided. My original article focused more on the impact on markets, but the information weapon is primarily aimed at behavioural->political manipulation.

I am. I do. I’d love that. That would be awesome 👏
are you like me? do you have nostalgia for the retro? what if you could mint some demo scene art for a handful of dollars on an L1 like Ethereum?! what if you could activate frequency response for them from virtually any sound source?

I am, yet again, urging you to spend more time listening to jazz musicians talk about music and just replace the word "jazz/music" with the word "life". Great lessons there.

How is it nitpicking? Name one consumer product in history that people wanted, lined up for, or identified with the brand, that came out of USSR. People tattoo a Harley logo on themselves… because it is a product and an idea that represents belonging and freedom. Brands and products have a relationship with culture. You can’t centrally plan culture. You can’t centrally plan the economy, either. Try to “plan” the taste and preferences of your next door neighbors - you will fail. Going to space first was remarkable and important,is a testament to the brain power of USSR, but it was also downstream from military / heavy industries, which are planned and coordinated with governments everywhere. Of course you can innovate in some areas when you make it a policy - but you want people to innovate, try things, because they want to. Not because they have to. Planned innovation is extremely fragile. China started thriving when they allowed people to take risks with capital, and compete. Entrepreneurial spirit in China today is off the charts! You have countless entrepreneurs today in every western country tackling things by building products and services - because society values change. (Improvement) Do you think a centrally planned society values disruptors? Most artists, thinkers, that danced on the edges were suppressed, locked up, exiled in the usssr. When an individual comes up with something remarkable, it’s disruptive to the idea that the collective is the ultimate good, and it knows best. Collective rarely knows best. I can think freely about what kind of planned society and economy might work - and perhaps, if the komitets and committees that make decisions were made up from the absolute best of us, saints, martyrs,, most driven, smart, yet altruistic and selfless people, also spiritual, but also logical, emphatic, yet ruthless when needed- yeah, I see how it might work. Chance of that kind of leadership is precisely zero. The idea of a perfect leadership = is the idea of constantly admitting you were wrong. Politics is not compatible with that. That’s why we try to build institutions to replace this imaginary group of perfect people. Judicial system has to be logical and ruthless. But people making laws have to be emphatic… etc. Just look at the track record… such level of power and authority needed to sustain ussr quickly attracts the worst of us. It is perfectly normal to centralize small scale governance. A village, a local council, a city. When the council can smell the same shit everyone is smelling - it works. It doesn’t scale. Reg 70s guitars; Innovation doesn’t destroy the value for old things. It can increase it! If fender only ever made that same guitar since the 70s, in the same way, same materials, the 70s model wouldn’t be special. What makes the 70s model Special is - look and sound 10%, the mark it made on the culture 90% . It’s a cultural artifact, a collectable. It’s valuable precisely because its impact on the culture was not planned. It was a “gift” - out of nowhere (hint - it was likely one or two people, just like you and me, that made it happen). All I am saying is that strict central planning of anything to do with culture, economy - never works. Broad frameworks - such as social safety net, good broadly accessible healthcare, education, basic services, coexisting with a free market where disruption is not only possible but valued, seems to have the best results. Those societies do better (as long as corruption is kept in check - and how you do that is to constantly scrutinize the “plans”. ) No system is perfect. One is clearly better, and it’s not even close.
Feels like a bit of a nitpick example of the USSR when they were the first in human history to get to space. I walked in a guitar store last week and they were selling replicas of 70s models, is this a sign the west has fallen? Is innovation dead?
