It was an honour to host Her Excellency Dr Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser Al Shibaniyah, Oman's Minister of Education, at Lancaster House, as part of the State Visit. We signed a new partnership, opening new opportunities for young people in #Oman.
With @EduGovOman, we will co-design and pilot a fresh approach in secondary schools, strengthening students’ communication skills, enhancing employability and readiness for university.
A partnership that shares UK expertise and builds lasting UK–Oman connections. Thank you to the Ministry, @UKinOman and our team in Oman.

The #HESPAL Annual Gathering recently took place at @EdinburghUni. The Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians scheme was developed in partnership with Palestinian universities to strengthen the Palestinian higher education sector and build lasting connections between UK and Palestinian institutions. Managed by the British Council, it has grown from a cohort of 10 to a thriving community of 256 scholars, and Scottish universities have been central to that success. Over 15 years, the programme has shown what international academic exchange can achieve.

Today, we're publishing research that makes a compelling case for the global value of a UK education.
‘Beyond graduation: The lifelong global impact of a UK education' draws on responses from 4,000+ alumni across 130 countries. The findings are a powerful testament to the enduring value of a UK higher education: 96% rate their UK education highly, 73% say it secured their current job, and 84% have recommended a UK education to others. UK education shapes careers, builds international networks, and develops skills that last decades.
