Funny that. It’s 1024 days until the latest time the UK can have the next General Election.

This made me laugh out loud:
Much talk about UK’s debt & borrowing. I would like to know what idiot is lending us money?

My dad with my kids in my parents’ front room 1992. No doubt he’d be strumming & singing “Frankie & Johnny” to them, as he did us 3 decades earlier.

Rarely hear this fine song nowadays. Probably because most of the population are now of the belief that if you hitch a ride you stand an even money chance of being murdered.
The good old days of the late 1960's and early 1970's. Unfortunately, today no way would anybody in their right mind and concerned about their safety go hitch hiking today! Vanity Fare - Hitchin' a Ride (1970)

The origin of the saying “pulling your leg” comes from the legendary clown Joseph Grimaldi (1778-1837) whose circus act included encouraging audience members to pull his leg & smoke would come out of his ears. He would then feign anger & this gave rise to another everyday saying.

Magnificent that at 83 he has the energy in the evening to get up & go to the ball. I’m 15 years younger and I have to dig deep to get up and go to the toilet.

I enjoy scrolling x/twitter. For me it’s the banter, the nostalgia, the fun. I have made many friends & even met some. But it’s getting harder being served up violence, cruelty, hate in bigger portions by aggrorithms. I might go back to watching the 📺 where you have the comfort of knowing what is being broadcast is probably not true.
