What does AI do in blockchain? – New Narrative: DeFAI
A new trend is emerging alongside AI Agents: DeFAI (Decentralized Finance + AI).
👉 The core idea: AI removes technical barriers of DeFi, enabling users to leverage DeFi without requiring deep expertise.

Over two years of building, and the Harmonix story enters its next chapter.
I started exploring crypto in 2018, mostly curious about how markets moved and how new systems could form.
When DeFi and yield farming took off in 2020, I built my first yield farming protocol.
It was an exciting time; tokens were flying, incentives were everywhere, and everything felt possible.
But when $Luna and @FTX_Official collapsed, the whole model fell apart.
That experience made me question everything about sustainability, what actually makes a protocol survive once the rewards stop?
It pushed me to think deeper about building something that can stand on its own, powered by real strategies, not emissions.
That belief shaped how @harmonixfi was built.
In 2023, when we decided to focus on delta-neutral yield, it wasn’t a trend.
Few people understood it, and many questioned why we’d bring such structures on-chain.
But to us, it made sense: market-neutral strategies can survive both bull and bear markets.
They compound quietly while others chase volatility.
We chose to build everything ourselves instead of forking.
It was slower, sometimes frustrating, but it helped us understand every layer of our system, from how funding rates move to how risk scales.
We learned through mistakes, through small wins, through the patience that real building demands.
By early 2024, after testing across six different perpetual DEXs, we decided to build fully on @HyperliquidX .
It wasn’t an easy choice at the time, but it felt right.
Hyperliquid offered the best balance:
competitive funding rates, low slippage, and strong fee structure.
Looking back, that decision fits our thesis perfectly to build on a platform that reflects long-term scalability, real innovation, and a fair builder culture.
It’s something we still feel lucky about today.
Over time, we began to see results.
Users stayed. TVL grew naturally without deals or shortcuts.
It wasn’t explosive, but it was consistent, the kind of growth that tells you something is working.
When forming the team, we knew where we came from, a small country with limited connections and no large capital behind us.
The only way to compete was to scale through skill, not budget. We looked for people who could learn fast, think long term, and grow with the market.
That mindset shaped the way Harmonix operates, not chasing hype but building systems that last.
Now, after more than two years, we’re ready to introduce the Harmonix token.
Not as a reward, but as a way to align everyone who’s been part of this journey: builders, partners, and users.
$HAR will help us coordinate, govern, and scale what we’ve already proven to work.
It connects our community to the performance of the protocol and the growth of the ecosystem we build upon.
We’re also entering a new phase, developing DAT for $Hype (on-chain Digital Asset Treasury) models using $HAR to accumulate and deploy assets like HYPE in a transparent, revenue-driven way.
The goal is simple: to make Harmonix a protocol that lives off what it earns, not what it emits.
Two years to reach here. Seven years of lessons.
The Harmonix story is just starting.

Sui has the best Tech, but how to attract the best dev?
Having more developers is crucial so training new Move developers, students with bootcamps, hackathons is definitely things we need to do for longterm. However, from hackathon idea to success, 99% will fail, because not only devs we need a whole teams with good execution capability including backer, marketer, designer, product managers... So if we have limited resources, my take would be to also give those teams with proven track record or product traction the right support, because they are the least 1% that will likely to make it.
Through my experience working with different teams and people at SF & ML, they're all talented, hard working, driven, and share Sui’s vision. Big thanks to dev rel team Daniel, Henry, for getting us into the Overflow Hackathon, and then Ocean Dao Summit that we've learned a lot. But we’re still missing key support like Slush Wallet listings, official SuiNetwork or Co-Founder shoutouts, or grants. Why?
It’s not that they don’t want to help. It’s the corporate setup. Sui’s not a startup anymore; it’s got teams with different goals, rules, and decision layers. This creates silos, slowing down support for projects when they need it most. For example, listing Blast.fun during its high-volume phase would’ve been huge than months later. Sometimes, individual leaders step in, but their endorsements feel subjective without clear guidelines, and community voices get drowned out.
Take @moonbags_io: we had tons of wallets, millions in daily volume, gave 85% of revenue back to the ecosystem, and won a hackathon with top community votes. Still, we’re left guessing what’s needed for support. Imagine a new dev seeing this?
I also run a B2B company with offices across 5 countries serving enterprises, so I get how slow siloed decisions can be. It takes months or years to close deals. My two cents? ML should let teams closer to projects make faster calls and be accountable for them. To avoid bias and focus on quality, set clear rules for grants, listings or shoutouts, like:
- Matching RFPs and using Sui’s tech stack
- Audits for DeFi with pools/vaults
- Minimum legit volume or users (less bots)
- Trending dApp status for a period of time
- Community votes rounds (voices.wal.app)
Just my humble thoughts. Others might know better, and I may not fully get ML’s culture. But if new dev can focus on building great products rather than making friends to gain an un-fair advantage, Sui could pull in more talent.

we spent 4 years building on ethereum and base. nothing took off.
6 months ago, we moved to @solana
launched addicted → $3.5M in revenue in 48h, flipping pumpfun’s 24h rev.
if you’re still building on base or any eth L2, you’re wasting your potential.
solana isn’t just faster and more scalable. it’s the best place for consumer apps to find pmf.
here’s why:
1
base and ethereum feel like closed dinner parties.
we launched 6+ products on base. got zero support. meanwhile, base kept shilling zora, farcaster, and their “inner circle.” they even launched their own memecoin ($2.5M mc rn lol)
if you’re not part of their “inner circle” or building what they like, you just get ignored.
solana is the opposite.
they treat builders as the core. they don’t judge what you’re building. they connect you with other teams and help push your product to the public.
we came to solana with zero connections, zero track record, and yet the foundation gave us so much support and helped our product win.
2
a chain’s attitude sets the vibe for its entire ecosystem.
these "inner circle" vibes are deeply built in base and eth ecosystem. you end up spending more time trying to make cool frens than actually building.
after 6 months building on solana, we were shocked by how open and supportive solana builders are. they reply fast, offer real help, and push each other forward. @MeteoraAG is the perfect example.
solana is open and builder-first. the whole ecosystem follows that.
base and ethereum aren’t.
that's what ppl call “culture”
3
on base and ethereum, there’s a massive disconnect between users and builders.
most builders treat speculation like a disease and try to build “serious” products for imaginary users.
even worse, the direction of these ecosystems is decided top-down. base and ethereum pick what’s “cool” instead of letting trends form naturally from users and communities.
solana doesn’t do that. they let builders experiment and help figure it out.
that’s why biggest consumer apps are all on solana:
pumpfun, axiom, moonshot, helium, believe, jupiter, collector crypt, phygitals, vector, bags...
and its only getting started.
first up - season 2 of addicted
the biggest survival game in crypto history.
and we'll keep dropping new viral games, all on solana.
stay tuned on @pndmdotorg
just build on solana.
