My father died Saturday at the age of 81.
Phillip Mason never trumpeted his attributes. If you said he was perfect or that his life was extraordinary, he’d recoil. Never would he sprain his shoulder by patting himself on the back. But he was a good man, dad & grandpa.
A 🧵:
Notable snap-count data from the Broncos' win over Arizona:
RB snaps: Coleman 30 (of a possible 61), Harvey 16, Dobbins 14
TE snaps: Trautman 37, Adkins 24, Engram 24
CB snaps: Moss 81 (of a possible 81), Barron 53, McMillian 50, Abrams-Draine 47
Safety snaps: B.Jones 81, Rapp 50, Key 31
Jonathon Cooper played 45 snaps (56 percent) in his first game of the season, just two snaps fewer than Nik Bonitto.
Did the Broncos finally find their success equation on offense?
* Bo Nix moving and using his legs again
* The vertical passing game working
* RJ Harvey using great blocks to explode downfield
* Jonah Coleman's punishing runs
My thoughts:

The Broncos can move into first place with a win over the Chiefs next Sunday after Seattle blasted Kansas City | by @MaseDenver denversports.com/nfl/denver-…
The Broncos entered the day averaging 1.8 explosive plays (20-plus) yards per game. They had 5 on Sunday. They got the vertical passing game going. Their RBs averaged 4.6 YPC. And Bo Nix found his wheels! The Waddle injury is a concern, but there's a lot to like. My thoughts:
Sean Payton on the Jaylen Waddle reverse playcall that ended with Waddle leaving the field with team medical personnel: “It was awful! I’m sorry!” Calls it “dumb.”
Broncos 30, Cardinals 16 — FINAL
Injury concerns pop up at the end with Jaylen Waddle, Zach Allen. But before that, the Broncos found explosive plays in a way they hadn’t all season. 3 40-plus plays, including Nix’s 62-yard run. Defense was big in red zone. Denver is 5-2.
Jaylen Waddle down on the field after the gadget call. Left shoulder into the ground hard. Very uncomfortable as he’s assisted off the ground
Jonah Coleman looks GOOD today.
Get him some more reps the next two games and the Broncos might have their answer without having to go to the trade market.
It's 30-16 after Chad Ryland connects from 41 yards out with 6:21 left. Plenty of people heading for the exits.
The Broncos' last three drives have covered 62, 76 and 53 yards. Two touchdowns, one field goal. Their most consistent stretch of effective football on offense so far this season.
It wasn't all the Broncos wanted on that series, but Wil Lutz's third field goal of the day with 8:39 left puts this one on ice. Denver is on track to get the comfortable win it hasn't had this season; 30-13 is the score after the 10-play, 53-yard drive.
With fourth-and-12, the Cardinals try the ol' hook-and-lateral -- and Kris Abrams-Draine reads it perfectly to defuse it, hold Arizona to 6 yards and get the turnover on downs. Broncos ball at their 34 with 12:50 left and a 27-13 lead.
Touchdown, J.K. Dobbins, from 1 yard. Two plays earlier, Marvin Mims Jr. had moved the Broncos into the red zone with a 47-yard reception. Dobbins' play ends the third quarter, and pushes the Broncos' lead back to 14 points, at 27-13.
Jonah Coleman's 4- and 12-yard runs on this possession push the Broncos to their season-high in team rushing yardage for a game, with 118.
Arizona gets its first touchdown in nearly seven quarters, capitalizing off the Brandon Jones DPI for a Brissett-to-McBride 7-yard touchdown pass. Denver's lead is trimmed to 20-13.
