While flipping through the Amer. Math. Monthly I saw this theorem, which was new to me. It has a lovely descriptive name: Moon in a Puddle Theorem. Any region bounded by a [suitably nice] simple closed plane curve with |curvature|≤1 contains a unit disk. arxiv.org/abs/2107.08455
