Supporting our Huskies turned Timberwolves at the LHS/WK game! #positivetrackscsms
A student brought me the program he coded to calculate function values for specific inputs (our current lesson) and I thought this was the most perfect example of students learning for twenty-first century careers! @CSMS_Huskies #explorecsms #lex1math
What do you do when a tornado warning throws off your already exhausting testing schedule? Ultimate tic tax toe! 100% engagement (a first!) Patterns, strategy, predictions, logic, perseverance, problem solving and collaboration.
I love watching the students gain confidence in their graphing skills as we go along! It's also amazing to see them go above and beyond, researching equations for other shapes, like circles and parabolas. #ExploreCSMS #lex1math @AVID_CSMS @CSMS_Huskies @SydowJay
It's the most wonderful time of the year! The time when I have my A1H students apply the linear function skills they've learned in a fun and challenging way! #ExploreCSMS #lex1math @AVID_CSMS @CSMS_Huskies @SydowJay
Exciting weekend watching my boy AND “my boys” wrestle! Wesley was undefeated and LHS took 4th, WK beat RB (always the ultimate win right?) and I got to see my students pin some opponents! So proud of all of them! @CSMS_Huskies @WrestlingWKHS
When the exit tickets show that a different approach is needed, you pivot! Thank you to @mathequalslove for the Domain and Range foldable! It was great to hear it clicking into place and watching the students engage in hands on math. #ExploreCSMS #lex1math
I love when I get to see my student’s at their sporting events! This time I got to watch a current and former student (while also watching my HS swimmer).
Our first attempt at Avid Collaborative Study Groups for an Algebra 1 Honors test review. Engaged students talking about math and helping each other trouble shoot their questions! Still needs some refinement, but they did great for their first time! @AVID_CSMS @CSMS_Huskies
