In 2005 I first encountered the musical “Chess” and fell in love with “Nobody’s Side” and the rest of the score. 18 years and 200+ miles later, I got to see @JessicaVosk absolutely explode my favorite song with an insanely talented cast @TheMuny and I’m still in love. Bravo!

Just saw another incredible performance at @IRTlive. “Shakespeare’s Will” was a triumph from start to finish (as per usual at Indiana Repertory Theatre). Only a few more chances to see it! Bravo!

Replying to @ZorroTheThird
Oh, how I wish I could! One of my favorite Indy actresses performing one of my very favorite playwrights?? Sadly, the planets are slightly out of alignment to make it. Super excited for the lucky audiences who will be there though!

On this day in 1959, Oscar Hammerstein II completed the song lyrics for “Edelweiss,” which was added to The @SoundofMusic during its pre-Broadway run in Boston. It was his 1,589th and last lyric. ❤️ Take a peek at his early drafts of the song here: youtu.be/it5rb4uWGlw

If you know, you know. #ProvenancePlay 😃

Just had the opportunity to see the amazing documentary #ButterflyintheSky at @heartlandfilm. Someone needs to pick this up NOW. If you were a @PBS kid and grew up watching @levarburton on @readingrainbow like I did, you must see this film. You will feel ALL the feels. 🌈 📖☺️

A beautiful tribute to a beautiful person. Such talent and poise. #RIPAngelaLandsbury
Millions knew her as Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote. But I will always remember Angela Lansbury as Miss Price in Bedknobs & Broomsticks. As a tribute to the actress, who has died aged 96, I play my favourite song from Bedknobs & Broomsticks. #RIPAngelaLansbury.
As someone who wrote a play entitled #Provenance and got lots of quizzical looks about the word, I greatly appreciated @iamjohnoliver’s extensive use of the term on the most recent episode @LastWeekTonight. 😅
Finally caught up with last week’s @PodSaveAmerica live in Nashville. @jonlovett telling VP @algore, “People say I’m the Terry Gross of this” is now one of my new favorite moments, closely followed by @jonfavs’s reaction to the Finnish joke. 🤣 Great episode.
Hey, @SenToddYoung and @braun4indiana. They need at least 10 Rs to do this. As one of your constituents with T1D, it’d be great to see you help the people across the aisle help the people in your state if you don’t want to do it yourself.

Was listening to “Right This Way” from #Bandstand earlier today and couldn’t help but think of the GOP’s treatment of veterans by blocking the PACT Act. So glad to see updates noting that it has finally passed the Senate.
The Cockney sequence with Michael Caine and Mike Myers is still one of the best parts of that whole franchise. Period.

This. Was. Outstanding! 😱🤯🤩 I hope there will be a rebroadcast or digital version available so more people can see this important play, its crucial message, and the incredible performance of Jodie Comer.
It's tonight! 'We each tell a story and the jury decides which story is the one they believe. It’s the game of law.' Jodie Comer stars in Prima Facie in cinemas with @NTLive.

One of the more enjoyable parts of writing something new is the discovery that a character that you brainstormed in passing suddenly becomes the most interesting person in town. 😅 #writing #playwriting #workinprogress #artiscraftnotinspiration

Lots of great tributes to Peter Brook circulating. #TheEmptySpace was unlike any book about theatre that I’d ever encountered until that. Here’s a favorite Brook quote. RIP.
That we are unsurprised by this blatantly political SCOTUS ruling is all the more the infuriating. The Senate needs to end the filibuster to codify abortion rights so that a simple majority—the same standard by which these justices were installed—can correct this grave mistake.
