We’re excited to introduce our 1️⃣3️⃣ newcomers, beginning this week with our four transfers! Up first, please join us in welcoming goaltender Mathieu Caron! A two-year standout at Brown, Mathieu was a Hobey Baker nominee last season en route to earning All-ECAC honors.

Thank you Brown University for two amazing years! The memories and relationships I’ve made here will last a lifetime. With that being said, I am very excited to begin the next chapter of my life with @terrierhockey

Caron is a pre-med at Brown, which is why he incorporated the molecular shape of Sertonin, the neurochemical responsible for increasing mood & decreasing stress. He also shows a DNA helix built out of ivy (as Brown is an Ivy League school).

“Chewy 62” is a reference to his nickname (Mathieu in English sounding like “ma-CHEW”) and a combo between of numbers that are personal to him - nods to Jose Theodore & @OuiOui_32 and his mother’s birth year.

We love goalie gear designs that tell a story. Thanks to @BauerHockey’s digiprinting capabilities, the story behind @MathieuC62’s newest set has lots of layers. (thread)
