In the early days after Amy's diagnosis, she made The Athletic's tennis writer @MattFutterman promise her that he was not going to let this illness get in the way of his routines.
Letting that happen would make her feel worse.
On Sunday, he ran the New York City Marathon for the 16th time.

So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has:
- Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life
- Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw)
- Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders)
- Lost the captaincy
- Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured)
- Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games
- Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders)
- Publicly quit on his team for a second time
Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for

Laugh all you want but Cheesecake Factories helped this country win WW2. In the 1940s, 23% of the adult population worked in these factories, and the US produced 300 to 400 million tons of Cheesecake per year. We used to build things.
