Over 300 replicated trials over 5 years harvested from 25% to 15% in increments of 1%. Yield from 180 to 305 BPA. 300 replicated average of 242 there’s 3 bushels per 1% of moisture loss from every point below 25% to 15%. 30 bushels buys a lot of propane. In a fenced environment with no wildlife damage also btw

Made a switch in seed companies for the 2027 growing season. We will be selling @ChannelSeed . If anyone has any questions don’t hesitate to reach out!
It’s noisy when you’re filling with dry corn. Like it or not I guess we will start harvest of this 💩 crop.

Farmers helping farmers. Growers across our #HillsboroFactory district harvested more than 420 acres of sugarbeets Wednesday for fellow grower Bill Cotton, who is fighting stage 4 brain cancer. Around 80 trucks, 14 harvesters, and 11 toppers showed up. #Harvest26

Many may not realize this, but our family owns a corn maze near East Grand Forks. Our mission statement is:
“To create generational memories while cultivating an appreciation for agriculture in a way that honors God.”
We started this endeavor over 11 years ago with a desire to help educate people about agriculture and create something fun and economical for families. Eleven years ago, my wife and I, along with my siblings, all began having young families of our own and felt there was a need for this in our area.
It takes a ton of money, sweat and even tears, but we enjoy seeing so many people come out and have a fun time with their family, friends, and loved ones.
If you have not visited Valley Corn Maize, I’d encourage you to come check it out. We try to add something new each year so there is always something new for repeat guests.
If you have come out and supported us over the years, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. Your support means the world to us, and we would not be able to do what we do without it.
Happy Fall, everyone!
🇺🇸🌽 OPENING DAY IS HERE! 🌽🇺🇸
After months of planning, planting, building, mowing and getting everything ready… Valley Corn Maize opens for the 2026 fall season TODAY! 😃
Come out and be among the first to take on our 30-acre America 250 corn maze.

Drought is worse then to much rain. Lots of 0s in my neighborhood in every crop. If you don’t agree you have never been in a drought before.
I have cotton wood trees growing in my grass over my sewer mound. I guess it’s been a while since I mowed.
Be careful what you wish for is exactly correct ✅
I know folks that live in drought areas say they’d kill for a rain like this.
My basement has flooded 3x
Our crop is going backwards daily.
I wish you could have some of this rain but be careful what you wish for.

Finished with 7-8” around our farm.
I’ve never had water stand in our relay beans in the summer before. There are usually big cracks from the wheat sucking the ground dry.
When it rains that much as fast as it did you get it from all directions.
If we can escape a big wind event in the next week or so I think this will be a net positive. Just South of here had areas of a foot of rainfall 12”… in about 27hrs
An Indiana state record event… beating stalled out tropical storm remnants.
👍🏻😆
Despite a growing season during which most of North Dakota has seen limited rainfall and increasing drought conditions, corn and soybean yield estimates are predicted to be on par with last year, according to the results of the 2026 DTN Digital Yield Tour.

How I know this is not happening it’s simple math
🌧️ ECMWF Ens 7-day precip through 00z Aug 18:
🔴 Core belt soaked 2.00 to 3.10" band from eastern Nebraska across Iowa, northern Illinois, Indiana and Ohio
🟢 Central and western Nebraska 1.40 to 2.06"
🟡 Upper Midwest lighter Minnesota 0.40 to 0.80", Wisconsin near 1.00 to 1.30"
🔻 Sharp southern cutoff, Kansas and southern Missouri 0.45 to 0.95" and dropping fast
⚫ Southern plains shut out most of Texas and Oklahoma under 0.10"
