Christine Alves, who works at @EProvhighschool started “Socktober” eleven years ago, and with the help of the community has donated thousands upon thousands of socks for those in need.

Love to see the East Providence Fire Department represented for the state of Rhode Island as what it means to be a New Englander, as the team heads into a “New Era” of football.
Today, the East Providence Fire Department become the first in the United States to fully outfit their entire department in non-PFAS turnout gear.
Proud to be apart of an administration that’s taking the lead both state and nationwide!

This is why affordable housing is so important. A young family getting emotional today as their number was drawn during a lottery for first time home buyers at Ivy Place. They now have a home to call their own. Congratulations to all of the winners. @NWBRV @mayorbobdasilva
Well this is a first, someone’s dog got loose on the Mass Turnpike. Thankfully drivers were able to come to a standstill

Best text I’ve gotten was finding out we won a @newenglandemmy.
When we covered the RI tornados, the last thing on our minds was an award. We went out there to inform the public. Getting to do that is the real prize, but it’s an honor for that work to be recognized ❤️

'We're all set - Cut his mic," - Syracuse School Board President Tamica Barnett as @CNYCentral's @MattMulcahy finishes remarks to the board after the district sent a letter to the newsroom warning journalists to stop contacting members of the elected board for official comments.
Another major win for the Rhode Island film industry! Hollywood Director Michael Blevins and actor Busta Soscia were in town to announce Stacy Caputi Liakos memoir will be headed to the big screen. The movie will be filmed here with 2 A-list celebrities playing leads. #Stray #RI – at East Providence, RI
Not everyday you run into a Central NY’er in New England. Over 10 years ago I lined up across from Tyrone Wheatley Jr during high school playoffs. Today we caught up as @Patriots helped move foster children aging out of the program move into their new apartments. Awesome day !

The Providence Potholes co-ed softball team has won its season opener, 14-8, and the big play of this game was this amazing catch by @MattPaddockTV in left field that looked just like this and resulted in a game-ending double play. Five-run first highlighted win.
