Another great example of the value of Air3 in action. 👏
When a suspect tried to run from police, Air3 helped officers keep sight of the individual from the air, allowing them to safely track their movements and make an arrest.
By giving officers, a real-time view from above, Air3 enhances coordinated frontline operations, improves response capabilities, and helps keep our communities safe.

This arrest is another example of the outstanding proactive work being done by our community intervention response teams (CIRT).
Our CIRT officers are proactively in neighbourhoods across Peel Region, engaging with communities and taking action to enhance public safety.
In this case, an individual chose to break the law, attempted to flee, but we caught the suspect and seized a gun. This is how we do it.
And let this be clear: There are no excuses and no exceptions. We will remove illegal guns from our streets every chance we get and hold offenders fully accountable.

More people, more support, and an even stronger commitment to serving our community. 👏
Congratulations to our newest graduates who are joining the Peel Regional Police family as fully qualified 9-1-1 Communicators.

Thank you to our partners, Peel Police Foundation and Canadian country music icon @PaulBrandt for their work in this space.
Human trafficking demands more than a policing response. It requires coordinated action, strong partnerships and an unwavering commitment to survivors.
By launching this strategy, @PeelPolice is bringing together the people, expertise and resources needed to prevent exploitation, support recovery and drive meaningful change in our community.

Human trafficking takes many forms and knows no borders. From sexual exploitation and labour trafficking to forced criminality and domestic servitude, combating it requires a united effort.
Peel Regional Police is proud to launch a new Anti-Human Trafficking Strategy focused on preventing exploitation, supporting survivors, and holding offenders accountable.
Together with community partners, we’re strengthening victim support, enhancing investigations, disrupting trafficking networks, and addressing service gaps for survivors.
Today’s conference brings partners together to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and advance our collective response to human trafficking. Human trafficking knows no borders, and neither should our response.

The strength of Peel has always been its people.
That spirit was on full display at this year's Chief's Gala, where the community came together to help raise money for the Peel Police Foundation and its programs that empower youth and create opportunities for those who need them most.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's event a success.

The effects of retail theft extend far beyond stores.
It's why we're expanding the Break and Enter, Auto and Retail (BEAR) Unit, strengthening partnerships and driving results. When police, retailers, governments, and community partners work together, organized retail crime loses ground. That's what the Retail Organized Crime Conference set out to achieve.
Peel Police will continue to strengthen its efforts to combat retail theft and protect our communities.

Retail crime is not a victimless crime. It affects businesses, frontline employees, and the communities we serve.
I was pleased to join policing and industry partners at the Retail Organized Crime Conference to discuss how we can strengthen our response to this growing challenge.
In Peel, our dedicated retail theft unit has helped recover over $1 million in stolen property, demonstrating the power of collaboration in keeping our communities safe.
Policing cannot solve retail crime alone.
Together, we can continue to make a difference.

There's no outrunning our eyes in the sky as these individuals found out.
In August 2026, Peel Regional Police added a new, advanced helicopter to its fleet. Air 3 is another tool that enhances public safety by providing better awareness of incidents, helping officers respond more quickly, and supporting coordinated frontline operations.

In policing, we spend a lot of time looking ahead. Today, in Ottawa, we take time to reflect.
The Canadian Police and Peace Officers' Memorial Service honours the officers whose service ended too soon, and whose absence continues to be felt by families, friends, colleagues, and communities across the country. We remember them not only for the sacrifice they made, but for how they lived, served, and made a difference.

Auto thefts in Peel Region have dropped by more than 50 per cent since their peak in 2023, showing what strong partnerships and focused enforcement can achieve.
Today’s $300,000 investment through Ontario’s Preventing Auto Thefts Grant Program will help us build on that progress by preventing thefts, supporting victims, and targeting the organized criminals behind these crimes.
