The Surface Laptop Ultra has become my daily driver laptop. The battery life is crazy good. But I bring a mouse with me lol.

I got DeepSeek 4.1 Flash loaded on the DGX Station and running at about 80 t/s on @lmstudio's Bionic. But local AI still needs to be much more simple to go mainstream.

Alex told me he ditched Davinci/Premiere entirely. I didn't believe it could work. Here's how he did it:
Goodbye Davinci, goodbye Premiere. We don't need you anymore... You should be editing entirely in Codex or Claude Code. Here's exactly how to do it.

What makes Sam Altman so formidable? Turns out you just need to keep scaling up to harder challenges. Each one makes the next one seem more possible.

Sam Altman: OpenAI's advantage is their internal models are way ahead of public models. I asked how far ahead they are:

Specifically, screw @jamestalarico I get 5 texts per day for him. You know I don't live in Texas right?? If you live in Texas, do not vote for this man.
How is phone call and text spam worse than ever? How is this not a solved problem? Shame on the FCC.

🚨 Sam Altman Says Anthropic’s Push to ‘Ascribe Personhood’ to Their Models is a ‘Dangerous Path’ “I hope we come to an understanding that this technology is not a person and is certainly not superior to people … Even the people building AI get confused about that.”

When people talk about the global market for GPUs, the thing that I think it misses is people are assuming that models are going to stay at the same capability and the same cost per task as today. For sufficiently high-quality intelligence at sufficiently low cost, I think it’s very hard to talk about an arbitrary market size there. I think it’s just gonna keep—people call us all sorts of things, Jevons paradox, whatever. I think it’s just gonna keep going up. I believe there will be some periods where, like with any new technology, there’s supply constraints and supply gluts.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman: "the biggest advantage we have is that we get the next generation of models before anybody else, and we have time internally to use them and see what's going to work" Take the math results. I don’t think any model currently widely available can get close to that

Go check out my friend and former colleague Michael's new YC startup Spacesheep. After working on the Artifacts feature at Anthropic, he knew he wanted to build a better version.
My agents sent me 355 hours of reading this week. I can't read that fast. We're launching Spacesheep (YC F26) to fix that: agents' work lands in a space your team can actually understand and work on together. Try it: tell any agent "share this to spacesheep.dev"

Should have called this Clawdbot
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.
