An occupied people have the right to armed resistance. That is international law. An occupying power and its soldiers have no claim to self-defense. Collective punishment is a war crime.
1) Targeting occupation soldiers on occupied land is not terrorism by any definition 2) In response, Israel is destroying homes of completely unrelated people, a war crime according to international law

If this FT should be headline news. The back-channel could have facilitated an end to the war. Jake Sullivan appeared to use it when deescalating from nuclear brink, but disavowed it (terminating its usefulness) when it began to be used to discuss serious peace terms.
FT reports that in early 2023 an unofficial channel floated a deal under which Putin agreed to pull Russian forces back to the pre-24 Feb 2022 line in exchange for Ukraine dropping NATO membership and recognising Russian control of Crimea (plus a land corridor). Zelenskyy and Yermak reportedly refused even to discuss territorial concessions, believing they could secure better terms on the battlefield. Mediators say the US also declined to back the channel. Participants later called it a missed chance for a settlement more favourable to Ukraine than what followed. Now, imagine how many lives would be saved, the energy sector would not be in ruins, the economy, democracy would be preserved if the deal happened back then... TERRIBLE, DISGUSTING, INUMAN. ft.com/content/dcb57f30-bbfe…

One day people will look back with bewilderment and disdain at the ritualistic western condemnations of armed resistance of those living in concentration and death camps

Since this morning, I’ve been unable to leave my home. All checkpoints in H2 and exits from Hebron are closed. Israeli forces have begun demolishing homes and shops near the site of the attack. Residents are living in fear, cut off from basic necessities. We urgently call on the UN, international governments, and humanitarian organizations to act now: protect civilians, demand an end to unlawful demolitions and collective restrictions, and ensure safe access to essential supplies and emergency services. Hebron must not be forgotten. We need urgent action, not just statements of concern.

Mike, it was 43 years ago. They were NOT acting in a “peacekeeping mission”, and they were attacked while in a foreign country actively operating to the benefit of one side. It sucks that they died. It was not “terrorism”, it was a valid military target, and most importantly of all, it was 43 years ago. Using this as justification as to why we need to “finish the job” shows how much of a delusional warmonger you are.
Praying for the souls of the 241 Americans killed in the terrorist attack on our Marines in 1983. I can think of no more fitting tribute to those heroes than to defeat the evil regime responsible for their murder.

One of McGurk's last acts in office was to lie to Congress that the UAE was not arming the RSF in Sudan.
How did UAE become the largest global provider of humanitarian aid to Gaza, according to UN data? Because of Lana Nussaibeh—a diplomat who knows everyone and works with them to GSD. She would be an inspired choice for this impossible job.

Aside from the shocking substance of this story, what's amazing is how it was unearthed by Cole. The short version: The Russians were able to penetrate Jared Kushner's iPhone and extract screenshots and data. Then, a Russian intel official was captured by Dutch intelligence (!) and flipped. The Dutch believed Kushner may have been acting on behalf of Russia, so pursued him as an intel target and were able to get into his phone. They did not find any evidence of Russian collusion, instead they watched him moving hundreds of millions of dollars from slush funds created by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, one of them housed in Israel's central bank. Incredible reporting, and if Democrats have any sense, they will pull on these threads and learn a lot more about this money.
Explosive story many years in the making, now out in Vanity Fair by Matthew Cole (who will be on Breaking Points next week, and publishing soon in @DropSiteNews): Saudi Arabia and the UAE set up multi-billion slush funds for Jared Kushner to use. Iran-Contra 2 here (except with Iran-Contra, at least the US got some hostages released. Not clear what we got out of this one.)

The US fired an estimated 609 ballistic missile interceptors to defend Israeli territory from October 2023 through September 2026. The US has fired more interceptors to defend Israel than Israel has.

Speaking on Al Mayadeen’s The Grand Standoff: Iran and the World, former US Marine Corps Captain and State Department officer Matthew Hoh argued that President Donald Trump could have greater freedom to escalate the war on Iran after the US midterm elections, when pressure from Republican lawmakers and party officials may ease. Hoh said the economic consequences of the war are already weighing on households, claiming that inflation has cost the average American family more than $2,000. He also linked rising living costs in Europe and the United States to growing public discontent, warning that families can endure only so much financial hardship. Looking ahead to the 2028 presidential election, Hoh argued that Trump could face renewed pressure to demonstrate a military victory that benefits Republicans politically. Invoking military strategist Sun Tzu’s advice to offer a defeated adversary a face-saving exit, Hoh said this approach may not work in the current war, arguing that "the only way he's going to see that possible is as another round of warfare that is quite destructive." He suggested that Trump could seek to "declare victory" by claiming he had "hit them harder than anybody's ever hit them before." @MatthewPHoh #AlMayadeen #Iran #IranWar #Trump #USElections2026

🛑 “Not one of the 16 children who were killed on that day can be confidently called a deliberate killing by Hamas. The one case where someone knowingly fired on a child was done by Israel.“ Israeli researcher Shaiel Ben-Ephraim examines each of the 16 cases in the new short documentary below. ⬇️
Israel has long claimed that Hamas went around slaughtering children on October 7th. Yet even the Israeli records and the camera footage it released show this is not true. 16 children under 14 were killed on October 7. I went through every one of them, case by case. There is not a single case of a child targeted and executed intentionally by Hamas. But that false narrative has been used to justify the slaughter over 20,000 Palestinian children in Gaza. Watch the full analysis.
