Someone seriously told me that @kylepetty has no room to criticize Cleetus McFarland because KP drove some of the best equipment out there and couldn't do anything with it, just rode off of his daddy's coat tails. This just illustrates, once again, what I've been saying from the start. Most of the fanboys don't actually know anything about Nascar and are only interested now because it's part of Cleetus's YouTube channel. Once he inevitably leaves, like he did with Stadium Super Trucks, so too will his fans. Short term gain for @NASCAR , long term pain because they are destroying what legitimacy is left in favor of a short term profit. As far as Kyle goes, when he was with the Wood Brothers, that team was a far cry from the era of David Pearson, despite the fact that Kyle actually won with them. He had great runs, and wins, with SABCO. Outside of the near win for @TommyKendall11 at Sonoma, who else ran that good in Felix's cars prior to the Ganassi merger in 2001? And anyone who thinks Petty Enterprises was another Roush Racing in the 90s and 2000s is insane. That's not a dig at PE, I was a massive fan, but by all accounts the team struggled wholesale, save two years with Hamilton which was inconsistent and the one off win for John in 99. So, any new fan who needs a history lesson before opening their mouths, I got you. Oh, and btw, 2026 is not 1979....before that excuse comes up.

Today my American friend called me.
She sounded heartbroken. She kept saying how sorry she was that the U.S. attacked Iran.
Then she paused… because I was laughing.
Not because war is funny.
Not because lives don’t matter.
But because she doesn’t understand what 47 years of tyranny feels like.
I told her: When you’ve lived under a regime that jails, tortures, kills your people, funds terror, and threatens the world , you stop fearing the noise of explosions.
You start fearing the silence of inaction.
We don’t want war.
We want the end of a regime that has held an entire nation hostage and destabilized half the planet.
By the end of the call…
we were both laughing.
Not out of cruelty.
But out of hope.
Hope that maybe this nightmare could finally end.
