As some who actually knows how to animate, this AI finishing the animation is pure crap.
I love AI. I think it’s a very useful tool, but it is nowhere near being able to do what traditional hand animators can do.
Further, the entire point of making art is the process and doing the work. If your entire interest is just the outcome, you don’t know what you’re doing.
Of course, this looks good to the layman with zero experience. But until you’ve spent 12 hours at the drawing board to create one and a half seconds of animation, you really should keep your opinions to yourself about this stuff.
And yes, the Donald Duck kicking the rock was hand animated by me on paper with real pencils.

OG Lorenzo Sleestak was called home.
