#CARvsGB officiating crew cheat sheet HOME teams are 44-69-5 ATS (39%) in referee Scott Novak's career HOME teams are 1-6 SU & 0-5-2 ATS w' Novak in 2026 However, the #Packers are 7-2 SU & 4-3-2 ATS all time w' Novak, including a 3-1 SU/ATS record at Lambeau Field Novak No.1 penalty per game avg Green Bay & Carolina rank No.1 & No.4 respectively in penalty per game avg @Packers & @Panthers both TOP TEN penalized teams for PRE-SNAP infractions Novak No.1 for OFFENSIVE HOLDING & top 5 for FALSE START The #Panthers have struggled w' OFF-HOLD, as have GB. But the Packers issues in this category have been on the road, they are much better at home GB No.1 for ROUGHING THE PASSER & Carolina co-rank as the second highest penalized team in this category but the Panthers also rank second overall as a BENEFICIARY of these calls, whereas GB ranks last UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS gets called at a higher rate on PRIMETIME Novak's crew LEAD the #NFL in this category I detailed some of the historically high AUTOMATIC 1ST DOWNS via penalty w' GB in 2026 earlier in the week Novak's crew calling an above avg rate of penalties in this category, primarily via the aforementioned unn-roughness Those are some key points & I could add more but want to keep it brief Clearly, discipline will be paramount when navigating this crew & whoever is less penalized has an advantage The Panthers are a roller-coaster team w' no consistency. Off that embarrassing performance Sunday they likely bounce back here GB is seemingly in a down to the wire game each week & they have had some terrible officiating go against them late in games Ultimately, its in the leagues & #TNFonPrime interests for these games to be close late & 6 of the 7 games officiated by Novak in 2026 have been one possession contests This feels no different, so a lean to Panthers +3.5 pts in a higher scoring 27-24 type contest #KeepPounding #GoPackGo

Because, really—you should be watching the Brewers, not us. (Even you, @Iowa_Joe86)
No show tonight. Busy watching the World Series (or whatever Jimmy does with free time and poor internet connection).

In my 19 years covering the Packers on a daily basis, I've never written a blame-the-refs story. Yeah, I get it, the Packers beat themselves, too, but what happened at Ford Field was unaccepable, an embarrassment and, to quote Xavier McKinney, bullshit. ⬇️ si.com/nfl/packers/onsi/xavi…

Matthew Golden was flagged 15 yards and fined five figures for flexing last week. For the record, I think all of it should be allowed. Let the guys celebrate. Who cares.
Did we miss somebody? 😅 @Lions

Packers All-Pro safety Xavier McKinney unloads on the officiating. Have a listen. Says he’d rather get fined and try and help his team.

Xavier McKinney on officiating: “It’s kinda fucking up the games if I’m being honest.” Said the game was “for sure” stolen from the Packers by the refs.

What an insanely stupid game this has been. Refs with an absolute clown show. Not a great day for our kicker to turn into a pumpkin.

If you're not careful, this whole Vivek Ramaswamy political ad scandal will make you crazy the more you think about it. Because the candidate Mr. Ramaswamy isn't accused of sexual abuse. None of his staffers or his family or his top donors are accused of sexual abuse. There is zero correlation between his campaign and the sexual abuse that occurred. Think about that. No, this whole thing is because Mr. Ramaswamy's team thought it'd be a great idea to run an ad featuring the mother of his opponent, Amy Acton, and apparently no one did sufficient vetting or seem to have cared about what they found. At minimum, his team didn't think to ask: "Huh... so, you, uh, mentioned in passing you haven't seen your daughter in 48 years. That would have put her at age 12, right? That's kinda odd. Uh... what happened?" And then the info comes out that her estranged mother lost custody of 12-year-old Ms. Acton and her younger brother in 1978 because her husband--their stepfather--sexually abused her daughter. And the stepfather fled the state that year and several warrants (plural) were out for his arrest over the sexual abuse. And then it's revealed the stepfather was previously prosecuted for raping his own daughter. His team looked at all this and you'd think they'd be like: "Well... shit. That's a ton of legal evidence that her mother is a raging sociopath. We really didn't think this one through. This is bad. Let's figure out how to salvage this disaster." But no! Mr. Ramaswamy decides to spend all week defending the ad of his opponent's mother who hasn't had contact with his opponent in 50 years since she lost custody over sexual abuse. And then esterday, Mike DeWine, the Republican Gov. of Ohio, calls on Mr. Ramaswamy to remove the ad and said "it's deeply troubling." So, you gotta figure Mr. Ramaswamy is finally gonna pull the plug on this disastrous and bizarre dumpster fire. But no! Mr. Ramaswamy sees that the ad has vocal support from deeply unpopular Donald Trump, noted rapist and alleged pedophile, and thinks to himself: "Yes, Rapey Don is right. I should keep up the child sexual abuse ad." And he puts $4M behind the ad buys, even though, by this point, the dark and disgusting context of the ad and condemnations of it by the Republican Governor are blanketing social media and local news stations across Ohio. Here we are, 11 days out, and you gotta figure Mr. Ramaswamy knows his campaign is now on life support and the brain trust that was responsible for this ad in the first place is probably now advising him that he can make it through the next 11 days by just waiting it all out, admitting nothing, apologizing for nothing, withdrawing nothing. Because surely 11 days is more than enough time for this whole thing to cool down -- you know, the whole denying and downplaying of documented child sexual abuse, while the top Republican in your state is publicly begging you to stop acting like a psychopath. It's all a lot to take in.
