60% pressure rate for Seattle in the first half, but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs can't find answers even when the pocket is clean.

I get it, it's harping on a rookie day 3 WR..BUT Allen: 4 routes, 18 yards (maybe benched?) Every other WR: 32 routes, 9 yards (funnily, Watson has 7 of those yards on one route)
Cyrus Allen been off the field since that incomplete crossing route to nowhere?

Halftime thoughts; Seattle going full BTA.. execution and coaching (until the INT) Offense - Don't love the run game plan but Sea's DL is winning - Run blitzes go boom - Lack of belief in pass pro to dropback - Mahomes bad INT + uncomfortable = ugly - Gimmicks ain't working

Defense - wow, unexpectedly getting whooped up front - ZERO pressure - Sneed is a giant target - Zero answer for JSN - who is going nuclear vs every CB - Nohl undercutting a wide-open TD may have saved the game (nvm, Butker stinks) - Really run D & lack of rush presence is killer

If Moore was on the "2026 low-end starting OT salary" rather than the 2024 one, he'd be seen entirely differently by Chiefs' fans, imo. Separating the performance from the expectation (money) is the gap that is the hold up.
But Matt is Moore really that much of a loss. The difference is probably minimal.

Maybe Ezeudu plays well enough that there is a minimal difference felt, but that doesn't take away from Moore generally being solid this season.

Chiefs down their best WR and OT AND down their second best OT and WR in a game against the reigning SB champions putting all the pressure on Mahomes, K9, and the defense… and all the talk today is gonna be about sass from a player not even playing during a team meeting

Idk maybe way off base here but don’t think starting NFL RBs (esp good ones) need to have the basic front & blocking assignments signaled to them pre-snap. Seems more likely just communicating a check/kill without having to turn around?
Looks like Mahomes is “secretly” telling Walker the run game calls….very cool. @aqshipley ? @BigDuke50 ? @AndrewWhitworth ? #nfllive

Game (on paper) is a BANGER. Got the WR1 angle here Chiefs (2nd ranked) rushing attack vs Seahawks (second ranked) rush defense.. both specializing on outside runs. Chiefs (2nd ranked) explosive plays vs Seattle’s (second ranked) explosive play prevention… battle over YAC/RAC
Strength against insane strength: The Chiefs are No. 1 in DVOA against WR1 this season and they play the Seahawks and Jaxon Smith-Njigba this week.

Awesome player at Indiana (and James Madison), absolute DOG. Surprised he didn’t carve out a role as a backup LB/teams player in Houston.
I’m told Aiden Fisher is in town and expected to sign with the Chiefs practice squad. He was released by the Texans on Saturday and cleared waivers yesterday.

Think these get even more surprising as you look at the splits; Royals: 62% of his snaps were on pass plays Armstrong: 64% Allen: 56% Royals: 21% of his routes from the slot Armstrong: 44% Allen: 100%
Andrew Armstrong - 42 Cyrus Allen - 9 Justin Watson - 1
