I’m so glad he was ok. She got similar meds and is confined to my bedroom. She’s not thrilled about it but it’s the best thing for her for now.

My little cat passed away last night, peacefully in her sleep. 😭❤️ For the past two weeks, she had barely been moving. She would just eat, sleep, and purr. ❤️ I think she was waiting for my daughter to come home from vacation… She got back last night. 🥹❤️ A friend gave her to me 15 years ago. I still remember the day I brought her home. She was so tiny she could fit in the palm of my hand. 🥹 Back then, I had two big dogs, a Bobtail and a Cane Corso. From the moment she met them, that tiny little ball of fur knew how to stand her ground! 🥹She immediately became the boss of all the animals in the house… and stayed that way until her very last day. ❤️ She was my little princess. 😭❤️ I got her when I was in my twenties. She went everywhere with me: to my seasonal jobs, on vacations, on all my travels… ❤️

Unexpectedly, my cat Oscar passed away. Me and my dad rushed him to the vet but there was nothing to be done except for sleep. I was with him the entire time, and it feels like I've been hollowed out to make room for emotions bigger than me. Sorry if I disappear for a while

⭕️ Camp cat heroes - latest news!! My father has just told me, with great delight, about the heroic actions of Najm and Mashmish in defending the family last night!! . A large rat tried to sneak in through the netting and attack the tent where my father and siblings were sleeping, but Najm، Mishmish and Amira —who happened to be sleeping in my father's tent last night too — were right there, ready to confront it. They sent the rat scarpering! This is a reminder of the value of cats to camp life. Large rats are terrifying: they are bold and attack people, damage our tents, causing flooding, spoil food and carry dangerous diseases. My sweet little Paisley Joan will be laid to rest this afternoon at 3:00. I could not have survived these last 9 years without her love and bossiness. She’s always been her own woman with her own mind, just like her Mama. She’s been witness to my children growing up and moving on, and has helped me acclimate to the many changes that life brings.
