Three years since October 7, 2023. Hard to wrap my head around. Feels like yesterday yet also feels like 100 years ago. The deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. The day we were reminded that those who seek our destruction will stop at nothing to do so, and that we cannot count on the world to see it for what it is. None of this is new. The truth is, we got comfortable in a world where we were not faced head-on with it for many decades. Ultimately, we only have each other to fall back on. I think back a lot to the responsibility I felt on that day. To myself, to the Jewish people, to the world at large. Three years later, have I done enough? Have we done enough? People will march and rally in NYC and other major cities today marking three years of "resistance." "Resistance" in the form of deliberate mass murder, rape, mutilation and kidnapping. Women, children, and elderly. Israelis, Americans, and plenty of nations in between. All while Hamas loudly and proudly tells the world they will attempt October 7th style mass attacks again and again until not one Jew is left in the land of Israel. The past three years across the region have been devastating beyond words. Peace cannot be fully achieved until Hamas and all other Iranian sponsored terror proxies are rooted out from the region. Full stop. I pray with every ounce of my heart that we can rebuild the Middle East with partners who are serious about long-lasting peace. That day will not come until those who view Jewish existence as a dealbreaker are simply told: No. עם הנצח לא מפחד מדרך ארוכה. The eternal nation is not afraid of the long road. 🇮🇱✡️💙
