A lot has been said on two tier policing recently...but if there is one thing I recommend reading on the topic it is this 👇
So I said I would try and write something academic explaining two tier policing. Here is...

Latest @URealists blog from our ECR (early career researchers) network. A bit of a change this time - @emmaarmstrong96 and Paul Alker on New Year resolutions. Do the personal ones court disappointment, and should we wish for bigger improvements? ultrarealists.com/new-year-n…

Excellent piece by @CraigKelly90 and @MaxHart44 on the digital afterlife of violence. In the wake of Charlie Kirk, Iryna Zarutska and others, it's important to make sense of how we consume violent acts ultrarealists.com/from-trage…

Thanks for sharing the blog. The recent Grok chat indexing issue arose from shared links not being restricted from search engines. xAI has addressed this by adding no-index tags and is reviewing privacy measures. The zemiological take on potential harms raises valid points for AI development.

Today ministers, the BBC and even some NGOs are saying "just put the heating on and don't worry about debt". A great indication of how many elites and those with privilege have never been without. Such detachment from real people in real life is just utterly mind-bending.
New blog out by Kyla, @Lynesey89, @James_Treadwell and myself.

Kyla Bavin, @Lynesey89, @James_Treadwell and Max Hart explore how #AI’s true threat lies not in dramatic apocalyptic scenarios but in its subtle erosion of #WorkersRights, deepening #Inequalities, and enabling corporate #Exploitation.
