Burnham administration's social video comms already a head and shoulders above Starmer's. Consistent tone and style from all major govt departments & higher-quality edits. Policy detail may be lacking, but Burnham's presentation is, as expected, a lot better.

Welcome to our new Secretary of State @Miatsf. The government is tackling rising bills with a tax cut to remove VAT from domestic electricity bills from October 1 in time to impact the next @Ofgem price cap. Helping households with energy bills and tackling the cost of living.

Great to be at the @EEEGR Southern North Sea Conference celebrating 25 years of innovation, expertise and ambition across the energy sector. It's what our energy strategy is all about - energy security, good jobs and investment in communities the length and breadth of the UK.

The Tony Blair Story by @72_films on @Channel4 is superb. It’s not just a compelling profile of the most naturally gifted politician the UK has ever produced, but a brilliant piece of modern history. Great interviews, great footage, great soundtrack. I could watch 100 episodes of it.

Community energy in action – Dodworth Miners Welfare installed solar panels to cut their energy bills, reduce emissions and strengthen their community space. We are backing community energy with up to £1bn, giving people the power they need to take back control of their energy.

Wind Warrior, Gusty Gizmo...sound like comic book heroes? They're actually wind turbines at one of the UK’s first co-operatively run onshore wind farms. Our Onshore Wind Strategy will see more projects like this to help us get to clean power by 2030. gov.uk/government/news/new-p…

Today I heard testimonies from renters @genrentuk, who have suffered the indignity of living in cold, unsafe homes. The fight for a fair deal for renters is a case of economic justice. That's why we are taking action to enforce proper energy efficiency standards.

COP29 was a step forward in the fight against the climate crisis. The deal is not everything we or others wanted, but is progress at a critical moment. We will keep fighting to protect future generations and reap the benefits of the clean energy transition at home and abroad.
