It’s always funny when conservatives back into noble savaging poor or middle class people
Your boss Obama’s joke is Cheesecake Factory has a cheap & garish design. Most normal Americans consider Cheesecake to be a high end, expensive place to eat reserved for special occasions. You guys are tone deaf. And, yes, I’m clearly too dumb to comprehend your brilliance too.

Normal Americans do not consider Cheesecake factory a “high end restaurant” (they are located almost exclusively in shopping malls) and exist as a place for richer people without taste to go after church, or tourists to go to on vacation.

The idea conservatives have is that poor people are so simple and stupid that they do not realize it’s a bad restaurant with expensive, gimmicky food, but most do, and just don’t eat there.

Moron Wakanda theory holding up
GOP is netting more votes out of Miami Dade than anywhere else except the Villages lol

So umm they just admit they’ve committed federal crimes huh
This is Senator Brian Schatz this week. When Democrats say they are going to prosecute and go after junior Trump staffers, we should believe them.

Really hope people like this are just mentally ill rather than actually soulless
Hey Amy, you’ve really confused me, and millions like me! 🛑 You said you were sexually abused between the ages of 9 and 12 by your stepfather! Why didn’t you tell anyone for three years—a schoolteacher, your doctor, Why did you wait three years? Why did your own biological father allow that to happen for all three years? STRANGE! 🛑 You’ve said your mother knew about the sexual abuse. Why would she do that? I mean, what would she gain? 🛑 Your mother is a very well-educated woman with a master’s degree in public administration and worked at Children and Family Associates in one of the first few sexual abuse programs! How did she end up getting that job helping victims of sexual abuse? I don’t understand! 🛑 Your mother gave an interview calling you a liar and disputing all your claims in June 2020. Why didn’t you respond publicly at that time? 🛑 This is very difficult for me to understand: you said you “did have food to eat.” 🛑 Was your stepfather convicted? Are there any court documents or police reports? I mean court documents or police reports—NOT A COMMUNITY NOTE, PLEASE! & Strangely: 🛑 Where in that ad does your mother say anything about your sexual abuse? She just denied your claim of living in a tent! Why did you connect that to your claim of sexual abuse? She never used the words “sexual abuse”—at least in this video! We all sympathize with any difficulties you’ve gone through. BUT… 🛑 Why don’t you hold a press conference and explain all this to the people of Ohio and all of us who are concerned? FINALLY: 🛑 Do you want Ohioans to vote for you just because of your unverified claim of a difficult childhood 50 years ago? 🛑
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Court records corroborate Amy Acton’s account. In 1978, her stepfather, Cledith Arthur, was arrested and indicted by a grand jury on charges of sexually abusing 12-year-old Acton. politifact.com/article/2026/o… ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/10/20/dem…

People love saying stuff like this and not being specific about what being “moderate on culture” (lol) means. Wonder why that is
Replying to @Tyler_A_Harper
I’ve been asking a version of this question for years in my writing on Chris Murphy, Dems bleeding black male voters, etc. Are left candidates willing to meet working-class voters where they are—left on the economy, but moderate on culture? Largely, the answer remains “no.” 8/

For example: “Is James Talarico ‘moderate on culture’?” would be a good question to answer, I think, but rarely will folks like this point to an actual model. That’s because any possible model’s either not doing as well as they’d like, or isn’t controversial with the left

The former undercuts their ideas about electability, which they claim to care about above all. The later undercuts what they really care about: winning inter-party factional disputes. They claim to be above that, but no one really is.

“Connecticut pizza” is the closest I’ve come to believing in a “psyop”, just a mass psychosis they never stop promoting.
Look at these CT pies and tell me there are states with better pizza than Connecticut. You simply cannot.

New Haven is Yale, and they are very insecure about the town being an empty rich enclave to prop up the institution, so you get claims like “the pizza culture here is actually lowkey amazing.” Sure!

Guy is pure scum
Vivek Ramaswamy just told reporters, "It is an ad from our campaign, and the thing that I want to say is that I would love for this race and this election to be about the substantive issues that impact Ohioans, and unfortunately, Amy Acton has been hiding from those issues. She won't debate me." He later said Acton's mother was not compensated. (h/t WSYX ABC 6 on the ground)

This is because “the Democratic Party” exists and “the Republican Party” really does not
It's underrated how Dems, for all the infighting, are better at self-policing than the GOP. Platner was tossed out, but candidates like Roy Moore/Mark Robinson weren't. And when Biden lost his abilities, they forced him out, while the GOP is still fully in thrall to Trump.

“The Republican Party” is an organ of Donald Trump that he controls either directly or indirectly without any notable internal opposition. Not only that, but because of this control, the party faces paralysis on any issue Trump has not weighed in on or directed.

The Democratic Party, on the other hand, is a collection of many different centers of power that constantly negotiate between themselves

guy who really misunderstood the success of MICHAEL: yeah, it’s all the rage now, i’m getting spec scripts for Woody, Polanski, you name it. Didn’t Denny Hastert just bite it?

Such a great quote. Displays these people’s entirely warped and Orwellian understanding of “liberty” without any equivocation or hedging. Here’s something you can argue against at least.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito says in a new book that he believes the court's landmark decision extending marriage rights to same-sex couples was "perhaps the decisive point in our nation's turn against religious liberty." Read more: abcnews.link/M860KYr

To Alito, “liberty” is not primarily “freedom to do what one will” but instead “freedom to do *to others* what one will.” This is a very historically powerful American conception of the term. Read any antebellum Southern political rhetoric and you will see it constantly

Dominance is part and parcel with liberty for these people. Without the freedom to dominate others, they view *their* liberty as incomplete.
