because they look like "just a white person but dark skin tone". I don't think either of the approaches are inherently racist. I think that racism is present when the message of a story communicates that people should be treated differently depending on their race.

that first person animation has drastically improved the last couple of years. I definitely prefer this to some very static animations we used to have or god forbid out-of-camera animations.
