The astonishment is not in His saying:
﴾يُحِبُّونَهُ﴿
﴾they love Him﴿
Rather it is in His saying:
﴾يُحِبُّهُمْ﴿
﴾He loves them﴿
What’s amazing is not that a poor and needy person loves the one who is generous to him. The real astonishment is that the Generous One (Allāh) loves a poor and needy person.
