Starmer confirms: He has no idea!!
Starmer asks UK regulators for ideas to boost growth - BBC News bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy0n…
BACK OFF STARMER - I WANNA BE A FARMER !! (MUSIC VIDEO) - YouTube youtube.com/watch?v=Vy3x3EJq…
This years ram lambs penned up ready to join the ladies! Looking strong, April born, only ever had grass
It’s started already! Government undoubtedly helping wildlife trust be buy up large parts of farmland. This will be de stocked, farmers removed and converted into a nature park, funded by gov payments. This is the IHT land grab! Gov funded, environmental charity run! 😡😡😡😡
7am RHS Chelsea Flower Show, last day on the stand, been exhausting but worth it! Nice to get out the smelly sheep gear and put my smart (ish) clothes on for the other side of our family farm business! Interest in our wildflower turf growing massively 👌

We have released the first of 4 reports evidencing current English production standards for beef & lamb.
The independent reports will help inform the industry's future direction by comparing the voluntary assurance standards & regulatory requirements.

Lambing underway with some of our early @RamCompare flocks; commercial lambs recorded from birth-slaughter from Terminal sires incl; @charollaissheep @BritishTexel @MeatLinc shows true potential of sires & economic benefits through progeny lamb value @AHDB_BeefLamb @HybuCigCymru
Completed my survey; simple, quick and should provide a broad view of members feelings. However the way this ‘review’ is being rolled out is typical of Minnettes tenure, plenty of well meaning talk, but zero planning, zero idea, and quite frankly, not good enough!
Staff Xmas party this afternoon, this was in the cracker. I’m no climate change denier, but if we think reducing the pulling of a Xmas cracker to a vaguely auditable tearing of card board is going to save the planet, count me out!

Looks like @rspcaassured are taking a leaf out of the Red Tractor book! Implementing new standards without proper consultation. We have a 5 ur old shed, built to a very high spec, which they now want me to change at a cost to me off over £320k!!! Windows…. They have pop holes!!
Trying something new this year, 35 Angus x dairy 465kg average weight onto fodder beet. Decided to give it a try after a @AHDB_BeefLamb fodder beet day last year. Good Sandy land here that suits it. Hoping for more weather like this as well ☀️
The bit the levy payer doesn’t see! Ahdb export team do an amazing job, well done. If we didn’t have a levy board, who would do this and how would they pay for it??
Wow, that’s a busy stand, the energy in Meat Hall 6 has been off the scale today, busy busy day seeing customers new and old from around the world back in Cologne @anugacologne #exportisgreat

A fantastically honest and up front thread from David Walston on what value AHDB does and could provide to farmers, and how he believes we are at a turning point.

Hi Everyone, my name is David, I'm a Sector Council member for @AHDB_Cereals
I've been one since 2020, and I get paid £250 per day for my time - up to two days per month. I like the money, although don't always claim the full two days.
Busy couple of days!! Nearly 600 lambs ultrasound scanned by @StuartFriswell on Thursday. A lamb at 46kg with 36mm eye muscle looks meaty! Then sheared them all today! Took pity on them with a lot of rain forecast tonight! Back onto grass tomorrow, 👌grass fed genetics
Nice way to spend a Sunday, picking rams with a customer, then treating them to lunch at the pub! 13 rams picked out for their various flocks of either mules, Meatlinc x mules or Cheviot x Romneys. Will be delivered free of charge to the borders in next few weeks.
Our other company Lindum Turf has pulled out all the stops to win sustainable product of the year at RHS Chelsea flower show. A great team effort by all our amazing employees. They go above and beyond all the time to produce quality products. ❤️

Over 500 complaints were made to the Advertising Standards Authority led by vegan groups against the #WeEatBalanced tv campaign from @TheAHDB, however the ASA rejected those complaints because AHDB had evidence based facts to back up all of their claims. A reminder about focusing on the “silent majority”and not the “vocal minority”! #pigstomorrow
