Wohoo! Let me try to put my excitement meeting Derek Sivers @sivers in words here:
In 2024, someone told me about Derek and I started reading his books and articles on life, philosophy, and entrepreneurship. I like him a lot because he is different. He does things because he feels good and right about it, not because they can bring him loads of money and fame.
Thrilled to get his email that he’s visiting Hong Kong this week and we had an amazing deep chat. Love that writing brings us together!
If you don’t know him, google “Derek Sivers”.
I put up the first 10 videos from Build in Public Mastery (the course I ran for 3 full years)
Now on YouTube:
youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…
I was teaching a few topics like building in public, building an email course engine, momentum marketing etc. between 2021-2024.
Now I've moved to another space helping students, so I'm thinking of uploading all the course videos to YouTube.
Would be fun
SEO reports leak this link to me:
Where Derek Sivers documents his travel and the people he meets.
Super interesting!

Folks at Alpha School are changing the world of education.
Does anyone know any Asia-based people who are working on the future of education too?
I'd love to connect!
I spent 7 years in the U.S. for schools and now I keep telling everyone around me that it is still the best place to get the "innovator" mindset.
So happy to see the guy who got me to write & share on the Internet 5 years ago now joining forces with the education institute I've been studying + sharing a lot in the last year.
You can just see innovation happening. From where I'm based, things always feel like "catching up".
I started my first job in a decade.
Last fall, @CameronSorsby reached out to ask if I could do a workshop at @AlphaSchoolATX on vibe coding.
I had a blast, and was blown away by how sharp and entrepreneurial the students were.
Cameron and I kept talking, discussing his plans to expand Alpha’s entrepreneurial and AI education, and the more we talked the more I realized I had to be a part of it.
This week I officially joined as the “Head of Founder Development.”
I’m working on expanding the high school’s AI and entrepreneurship curriculum, along with a much bigger project for the Fall I’ll be able to share soon.
With young kids of my own and my deep frustration with the education system, @jliemandt and Alpha’s mission is one I’m extremely passionate about and thrilled to be a part of.
If anyone is going to fix education, it’s us.
Can’t wait to share more on what we’re building.
The pioneer! That's why I'm sharing
Since I get countless questions about how @FelixCraftAI works, how he got started, and how in the world an OpenClaw with an X account has earned thousands of dollars in a few weeks...
Here you go!
(Drop questions in the replies and I'll write more).

I have a 5yo and 3yo. Have a lot to think about when we all can't see the future life & career paths!
POV: Installing macOS Sequoia on my Macbook Pro 2012 (oh my, been 14 years?!) so that I can play with OpenClaw.
I miss this.
Haven't been on X much later since I now focus on my local market, but the people here still have a place in my heart.
All the things I'm learning and chatting about!! So cool
Replying to @MeetKevon
He asked me on a day off from school if he could build it.
I told him sure. We sat down, he described it via voice to Claude Code and after a couple of hours…he’s the only 4th grader in his school with a website lol
We're already seeing that kids are not good with keyboards now that they use touchscreens.
We'll see that kids can't use software because they'll just say everything to AI.
Good? Or making everything way too easy for the average person?
Wife: I can't connect to the new printer
Me: Sure, let me take a look when I get home
Of course.
It's 2.4 Ghz vs 5 Ghz. Got the wrong one 😐
Took me 18 months but I finally regained that intrinsic energy + motivation like I had when I first got on Twitter/X in 2020.
It is the feeling - you wake up and get sooo excited to work on the project!
This is an ad I made to promote the Young Author Camp I'm running end of this month.
Love this 🙌🏻
tl;dr: We've launched Atrium, a discovery platform for alt-ed.
˗ˏˋ exploreatrium.com ˎˊ˗
Over the past few months, @karelvuong and I spoke with many parents and providers in the alt-ed space. Two problems we kept hearing:
1. Parents have increasingly more choice (and spend with ESAs) but limited discovery. They don't know where to look or how to validate options.
2. Providers have abysmal distribution channels, primarily relying on word-of-mouth.
Education is inherently human, yet good quality, human information sources are scarce. You're limited to parent group chats (if you know the right people), Facebook groups (😳), or just A/B testing with your kid.
Whether you're homeschooling or just looking to enrich your child's education, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. And with many families gaining access to ESAs, it has also become difficult to know what actually qualifies for funding.
So we built @exploreatrium, a discovery platform for schools, tools, and programs. Purpose-built for alternative education and homeschooling families.
We've thought a lot about trust to ensure all reviews on Atrium are posted by real people, not bots.
You can curate your "Education Stacks" to showcase what you're using, and explore how others are unbundling.
We're also currently in private beta for Atrium's parent concierge that offers families a white-glove experience to access a more personalized education and ESA support.
Atrium is being built as a side project and meant to be a public good for the alt-ed community. We'd love your support to build some awareness and leave reviews!
• Drop some reviews on your favorite education providers
• If you're a provider/founder, claim your profile or submit a request to get you listed (you can just DM me)
• If you have ideas or feature requests, let us know!
Thank you Rodney - I'll get them to build in public as much as possible.
If a child is shy, then we can do it privately but at least have a webpage to document the journey. Will be amazing to look back to!
Entrepreneurship is really crazy.
I was teaching the online creator-educator audience how to build & market their creative products since 2021.
Then I hit a rock bottom in 2024.
After 12 months of searching around & trying different ideas for different niches, I discovered my path!
I’m now teaching the local high-school audience THE SAME THING!
I don’t need new ideas or a new niche. I just have to pivot my audience.
Everything is now moving forward quite nicely. I’m glad I’m out of this rock bottom.
Isn’t it crazy?
Started coaching a 12yo girl to build her creative project.
Today we just chatted so that we could get to know each other. I wanted to know what she’s excited or curious about so that I can guide her to come up with a fun project.
The challenging part is that as an educator I need to hold back from making calls for her. She needs to decide and execute herself.
And it’s so different coaching a 12yo than entrepreneurs (my last few years’ focus) because she knows very little about business, creation, and everything.
I’m very excited about my new line of work!
