6 months ago, I sucked at storytelling.
Now, I can write any story I want.
Here are my 5 favorite resources to make you a better storyteller (bookmark this):
Are you a women's fitness coach?
Email copywriting tip:
Too many choices can kill your email sales.
Customers may not know the right choice, But they know the goal.
Be the expert who says, “Here’s the step you need.”
Show them the plan, not a bunch of options.
Copywriting Tip:
You need to highlight both benefits AND features in your copy.
If you just write the features, people will say, “Who cares?”
If you just write the benefits, people will say, “But how?”
Use them both in your copy to sell more.
Number ONE email mistake I see many coaches make:
Not having a welcome sequence.
They simply give the lead magnet, then ghost their subscribers.
No news for days, weeks, or even months.
They’ve lost:
- Revenue
- Reputation
- Relationship
Email Copywriting Tip:
Pretend you're writing to one person.
Get one person in your mind. A REAL PERSON.
Your best friend, brother, or somebody you're comfortable sharing everything with.
Pretend you're writing the email to that person.
And write like you talk to them.
Why do creators fail at email marketing?
They don’t start with a welcome sequence.
They send the lead magnet, then go silent.
Nothing heard for days, weeks, or months.
This costs them:
- Income
- Respect
- Relationships
Confidence doesn’t need to be proven—it speaks for itself.
Love isn't something you can force; it's something you receive.
True approval comes from within, not from others.
Why your welcome emails aren't working:
1. No stories = no engagement.
2. Selling too soon = losing trust.
3. Shallow connection = no loyalty.
4. No clear expectations = confusion.
5. Overloading info = overwhelming readers.
People set limits on themselves to avoid feeling disappointed if they fail.
They think they’re helping you by sharing those limits.
So, they might feel upset if you challenge or prove them wrong.
Complicated language doesn’t make you an expert.
It makes you hard to understand.
Clarity wins over cleverness every time.
Using 'Sale Extended!!' as a subject line?
It screams desperation.
Instant unsubscribe.
Don't sound desperate.
Living well means focusing more on what matters.
Living poorly means focusing more on what doesn't matter.
Wisdom is knowing the difference.
People unsubscribe because they don’t get enough value.
If you’re helping, they’ll want more from you.
They trusted you when they signed up.
So step up and guide them.
There's no such thing as "I don't have enough time."
You always have enough time.
You just need better priorities.
Most of the things we think are problems will often disappear after a walk outside and a good night's sleep.
Not everyone agrees:
Attention isn’t the key.
Emotions are.
Talk about your dreams and the hard work to make them happen.
The world will pay attention.
No gimmicks beat your true journey.
Stop following the crowd and follow your heart.
Want to win with email marketing?
Share case studies.
Show transformations.
Let your readers picture their success.
That’s how you turn emails into clients.
Too many choices kill email sales.
Customers may not know the right choice,
But they know the goal.
Be the expert who says, “Here’s the step you need.”
Show them the plan, not a bunch of options.
