Cheapest sadaqah there is, and most of us are still stingy with it. Smile at somebody today and mean it.
I read the Bible all the way through, Genesis to Revelation, and came out the other end with more questions than I went in with. Good questions. Honest ones. The kind folks pat you on the shoulder for and then change the subject.
So I picked up a Qur'an. Figured I'd see what the other side was saying.
What I found was Abraham, and Moses, and Mary, with a whole chapter named after her. Jesus, peace be upon him, called the Messiah and a word from God. And one God, the same God I'd prayed to since I was a boy, described in a way my heart and my head could both accept.
I knew before I finished it that no man wrote that Book.
I say that with nothing but love for where I came from. That's just where the road went.

Muslims and Christians in Jordan have shared neighborhoods, friendships, joys, and sorrows for generations. This horrific attack violates that shared history and the sanctity of innocent life. May Allah comfort the grieving and heal the wounded.
No innocent civilian should ever feel unsafe in a mosque, church, synagogue, or any place of worship, anywhere. Period.
But I can’t help but question how “ISIS” repeatedly emerges at the worst moments with its savagery to tear our societies apart and feed the worst narratives that get turned into perpetual cycles of crimes against humanity.
