Super energizing to hear the Obamas speak tonight- on values, on service to country over self, and on getting up to DO Something. We can't go backwards.
BREAKING: Michelle Obama just laid into Donald Trump like no one has before. Retweet to make sure all Americans see this takedown.

🚨🚨🚨 WOW : A father of a child who was killed in the Uvalde school shooting SLAMMED Texas legislators for their “useless thoughts and prayers.” Brett Cross boldly testified in front of a Texas House committee in support of legislation that would raise the minimum age to buy semi-automatic weapons from 18 to 21. Brett Cross: “I’m so sick of hearing those three words from our elected officials… While your prayers may have comforted you, they did nothing to absolve our pain... Your thoughts and prayers didn’t stop an 18 year old from purchasing two high powered semi automatic rifles and all of those rounds of ammunition. Your thoughts and prayers didn’t stop us from having to bury our children and two teachers.Your thoughts and prayers haven’t done anything in the 329 days since Uziel was shot through his stomach exiting his spine. Your thoughts and prayers are useless unless you have thought and prayed for legislation that you can help enact that could change this.” And now today, President Biden announced the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention to “end the scourge of gun violence,” to be overseen by Vice-President Harris. Thank you so much to Brett Cross and these BRAVE parents for speaking out! 💙💙💙

Just to reach the national average, #txlege would need to give public education $40 billion in additional funding. No vouchers, No gimmicks, No Deals. @JustFundItTX xitter.cf/GregAbbott_TX/status/1…
Here in Texas, we believe in family, fun, and freedom. Glad to join this Parents Matter Tailgate at First Baptist Academy in Dallas. We must ensure parents have the opportunity to choose what is best for their child’s education. That’s what school choice is all about.

The statement “I’m just an aide” should be banned from all schools. ☺️❌ Paras are essential and make an incredible difference in redirecting kids’ pathways. Shoutout to all the paras!!!
