Today, we celebrate 212 years of the United Grand Lodge of England 🥳 On 27th December 1813, the 'Antients' and the 'Moderns' united to form the UGLE 💫 The historic union set the foundation for modern Freemasonry, built on principles of Integrity, Respect, Friendship and Service 🤝 Find out more about The Union on the @MuseumFreemason blog: tinyurl.com/74kv6x58 #Freemasons

The Metropolitan Police has today announced that Freemasonry is now a declarable association, meaning that all police officers and staff will be forced to declare membership of Freemasonry.  The United Grand Lodge of England, @OrderWomen and @_HFAF_ have issued the following statement ⏬ 🔗ugle.org.uk/about-us/media-c… #Freemasons

"The Inquiry did not receive any direct evidence of Freemasonry influencing or obstructing the investigation of child sexual abuse." The above is a direct quotation from the independent inquiry in 2021 and yet doesn't appear in the article by The Daily Mirror. We are disgusted that the article so wilfully misrepresents the truth and chooses to indulge conspiracy theories. We will not be sharing or signposting the original article, as giving further attention to such inaccurate reporting serves no purpose. We intend to report this flagrant misrepresentation of the truth to the Independent Press Standards Organisation. Our thoughts remain with the victims of this heinous crime as they continue their search for justice. Read our full response ⬇️ 🔗f.mtr.cool/sywumbgpob #Freemasons

We are delighted to share a new photograph of the Grand Master, HRH The Duke of Kent, and the Pro Grand Master, Jonathan Spence, taken recently at Freemasons' Hall!   Taken specially for the forthcoming book by Celia Lee - a sequel to 'HRH The Duke of Kent: A Life of Service', honouring the Duke's 90th birthday and his recent decade of public life - the portrait reflects both the dignity and continuity of Freemasonry under his leadership. 📸: Richard Gleed #Freemasons @RoyalFamily
