In Jo’burg our Water Demand Levy increased by 280% over 5 years That is an annual increase of 56% (!!!) We get charged R 107.74 per month as residential ratepayers for what exactly? Jhb Water says the levy helps fund infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and capital projects. This includes: Replacing ageing pipes and infrastructure Building & upgrading reservoirs to improve storage and reliability Do you think they are spending our money well or we are just being abused?

This is ridiculous. I’ve been to cities where it rains all the time but there are no potholes and the grass is cut and trees trimmed. There is just no will to get the basics done. They must keep talking like this and treating people like idiots and I am sure they will get the appropriate reply at the polls.
