Usually it just tells me I've hit my allotted however many questions for the 2 hour period and to check back so I'm thinking this is a glitch.
Also I didn't just say "Hello" to grok, I encountered this in another conversation but thought I'd test it in a new one in case my framing was making it think I was asking for image generation.

I would appreciate if X offered a trial of the new plans that allows users to return to their existing plan if they are not satisfied. This would provide a practical way to encourage people to evaluate the new options, while also giving X direct feedback on whether the new plans are viewed as comparable to the previous ones. It could also reduce complaints from users who feel stuck with a plan they dislike and help retain paying users. I'd even be ok with a 1 or 2 day trial, most people understand within a short amount of time whether or not the usage will meet their needs for the week.
I'm afraid to switch from X premium to the new plus plan because right now I get a rolling window to talk with Grok in X, it's something like 40-50 messages every two hours. I just have no idea what that translates to if I were to switch to the plus unified plan and then it resets weekly.
Also been considering the plan with Grok bot but just unsure at the moment because I can't get back my premium plan if I don't end up wanting to keep the Grok bot plan.

ok... uh so I'm making a game... it's like if GTA & Apple Maps v1 had a baby
And that baby was a custom built engine that streams in OpenMapTiles (plus some other public domain mapping data) to render the entire earth as a playable open world game
Engine is all C++ with Metal (and Vulcan) renderer - which means this thing runs on ALL Apple platforms... yes even that one (ok not the watch... yet)
Right now it's just a sandbox world. No "game" - just layers and layers of systems. Earth scale procedural weather systems (rain, storms, clouds, wind, KpI, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc) which means you can see them coming from the distance and travel across the landscape in a timelapse. And every building has a procedurally generated interior.
There's also tons of vehicles, skateboarding (with skateparks), snowboarding (with ski resorts & lifts)
Also a photography mode with all sorts of fun goodies
The whole thing is a bit mad. Work's been insane right now and I wind down before bed by going through all of the work Claude has done that day, playtesting, writing up new project plans, and then kicking off the next day's projects across my 3 Macs in my house wirring on this all day with Opus 5.5 (maybe save that explainer for another crazy person Twitter screed)
Anyway, curious what you think. Now I can post my little updates here instead of blowing up all my group chats with the weird ideas I'm trying next.
People talk about Trump derangement syndrome but there is also Elon Musk derangement syndrome.
I'm talking to my Uncle today in the car and he's going on about how AI ads and AI clickbait articles are out of control on Facebook.
I see this as a great opportunity to bring up Elons recent post around ads on X. I say "Elon just posted yesterday" -- pause because this is where he chimes in with the "Oh whats that asshole up to now" -- I continue to explain that Elon posted about how advertisers on X will be held to a higher standard, especially around aesthetics and making false claims.
I thought Elons post really highlighted how far X has come. We went from Elon acquiring X and a bunch of advertisers pulling out, to him getting X to a point where they can say "If you want to advertise here it can't look like shit".
Well my Uncle goes on to say how it's a dumb idea and how Elon just wants all the ads to look the same, blah blah blah. I was wondering how on Earth that was his take away from what I just said, especially when he just had complaints about the ads on Facebook all being garbage and misleading. But I realized in that moment, it doesn't matter what Elon does, he could cure cancer and my uncle would find a way to think it's a negative just because Elon did it.
I obviously used the rest of our time in the car together to talk about how great X is and the new Roadster.
