Hot take: white ppl were able to take over the world bc white elites developed cultures that numbed their emotions enough to make it so they could synthesize well with machines & machine-like social structures (corporations, large-scale bureaucracy, etc)

An unappreciated problem in the philosophy of biology: according to the best current taxonomical system we have--cladistics--we either (a) have to classify a bunch of mammals (including humans) as fish, or (b) say that 'fish' as a biological category is meaningless.

The cultural gap in America is pretty much unsustainable at this point. You will never convince the urbanite "woke" hipster type on the left to get on the same page as the rural Trump supporter on the right. They are so different they could come from entirely separate countries
