They're not supposed to box in cars for this reason. Good thing many jurisdictions have banned police chases in most cases—it's easier to find the suspect later than to put folks in danger now.

What don't you understand? The human body, being sacred, cannot be violated. Only h*micide has a comparable statute, given its irreversible outcome for the body. Capisce?
Police interview in 2023. Tells a story that happened in 1999. This is ridiculous. We don’t treat anything else in the world like this. We just stop using reason when it comes to sexual assault allegations.

Only the Law rules over man. I don't know what Chinese propaganda you've swallowed, but authoritarianism is based on fear, not competence.

And Americans don’t want to be ruled. They are sometimes willing to roll the rice and break the glass. But, ultimately, it was the unseriousness. If you’re going to do authoritarianism, which I don’t recommend, you’ve got to do it with focus and skill. They just didn’t have it.

Who told you that? As if running a society on fear were based on competence. Open societies are rather based on inspiration. It takes more to inspire than to frighten.
What will have saved America in the end is that they just weren’t that good at authoritarianism.

But if you could boldly rig definitive social/civil outcomes, what would stop you from providing your family with boons/advantages? Fathers are expected to provide; the more you provide, the better you're recognized as an excellent father. Why not trade integrity for adoration?

That's unremarkable; large populations typically center on bodies of navigable water for the relative ease of transporting building and agricultural goods. What's truly interesting is that Europe has a longer coastline—with more natural harbors—than the entire African continent.
It looks like practically all ancient Greek philosophers were born either in port cities or within one days's walk of salt water:

Given the contingent (unpredictable) nature of such emergent properties/patterns, how could folks place a moral stake on the whims of mere chance?
Probably not the exact same, no 🤷‍♂️ It likely depends on the details - which specific properties did you have in mind? Bipedalism?

Imagining God in politics means loving your neighbor. Both parties can do that now.
