I have been super active in the space for four years. The maps I get indoors are harder to obtain but they have just as much chance of being accurate as an outdoor map. I have mapped and then placed assets inside with great success. However, I find the viewing in the real world with the app is inconsistent as it struggles to accurately place my map at times. Tbf this is just as true for outdoor maps.

That’s what I would think. But your video had a referee.
7/ Again, I’m no cybersecurity genius. Just been thinking about where this is headed. If you care about privacy in a world of smart glasses, you might wanna check this out.
6/ This TEE-based approach makes it possible to have AR and robots that see the world—without reporting every inch of it back to some creepy server farm in Utah. It’s about owning your reality, not renting it to Big Data.
5/ Google’s VPS is slick and all, but let’s be honest—do you trust Google with your surroundings? Thought not. VPS is powerful, but it needs ethics baked in, not bolted on later. OVR’s take is “Can’t Be Evil,” not just “Don’t Be.” Big diff.
4/ The cool part: @OVRtheReality has a VPS (Visual Positioning System) that uses TEE tech. That means your location + camera data stays yours. It’s encrypted, private, and un-fudgeable (yeah I said fudge). 😅
3/ This is where TEE comes in. Trusted Execution Environments. Basically a little secure vault inside your device that processes data privately. Even the OS can’t peek inside. Think: privacy bubble for your camera feed. 🔒
2/ These devices need visual data to function—like, to walk, navigate, interact. That usually means sending what they see to a server. Without safeguards, this turns into a surveillance nightmare. Nobody wants that. Or at least, we shouldn’t.
1/ Physical AI is here whether we like it or not. Smart glasses, robots, drones, etc—millions of eyes are now watching the world. And yeah, that means us too. 👁️
Thread: Smart glasses are coming for your face—and your data. Here’s how TEE tech can help.
(Not an expert, just trying to make sense of it.)
🧵
Physical AI is live! 🤖 Smart glasses & robots will process reality via millions of cameras. @OVRtheReality TEE-powered Visual Positioning System (VPS) ensures you own your data—private, encrypted, unaltered.

Yes I know what a trump card is. I just don’t understand the context.
