As a mom of a beautiful child with a fatal disease and an extremely limited lifespan, it makes me even more mad that people are out there upset because they had girls and not boys. Do you know how lucky you are to have a healthy child? Be grateful.

Overturning Roe and and curtailing McGirt within a week of one another makes it pretty damn clear how Indigenous sovereignty and body sovereignty are interconnected. America has always wanted control of land and of people.

Stop using adoptees as pawns in your abortion wars. Even the happiest adoptees have lifelong issues and many adoptees suffer abuse at the hands of their adoptive parents. We are people. Not chess pieces.

Writing this article on science communication in social media forced us to come up with arguments about why acousticians should use social media in the first place. I absolutely believe scientists should use social media, but I think we still need help figuring out how best to.

Overturning Roe and outlawing abortions will never make them go away. It only makes them more dangerous, especially for the poor + marginalized. People will die because of this decision. And we will never stop until abortion rights are restored in the United States of America.

This is a bizarre and dangerous take. How likely will your patients, given the power dynamic, feel comfortable asking you to mask? The fact is many won't. I guess "Do No Harm" means nothing.

When mandates go away, I won't wear a mask in clinical settings unless a patient asks me to.

1. My goodness - the @nytimes story by David Leonhardt this morning "Covid has killed a smaller percentage of Black, Latino or Asian Americans over the past year than white Americans. TO DENY THAT REALITY is to miss an important part of the Covid story." nytimes.com/2022/06/09/brief…

What's devastating is thinking about the many who were sent home from EDs or told not to come to the hospital at all b/c their O2 levels seemed OK. “These are likely patients who were seen in emergency rooms and sent home," pulmonologist David Wu told me. statnews.com/2022/05/31/faul…

Faulty oxygen readings delayed Covid treatments for darker-skinned patients, study finds

Covid-19 care was delayed for Black and Hispanic patients due to inaccurate oxygen readings from devices that can work poorly in darker-skinned people, a new study finds.
