Meniscal tears are at least 3 times more common than previous stated. Half of all meniscal tear patients were reviewed in secondary care with less than a quarter ending up undergoing surgery.

New research led by Peter Wall from @WarwickCTU and @warwickmed shows that knee replacement surgery using a tourniquet increases the risk of serious complications, and causes additional pain after surgery.
