Took a bit of a break from blogging but now I'm back again because I needed to talk about Kpop Demon Hunters! mettelray.co/2025/06/28/kpop… #KPOPDEMONHUNTERS

Kpop Demon Hunters is The Refreshing Summer Hit We All Needed

As someone who has been obsessively into K-pop and is now slowly transitioning into a more “normal” fan, I was still genuinely excited to watch K-pop Demon Hunters. Had I heard about it before it w…

By the time I finally got around to watching Anora, her marriage was already over. 🥲 mettelray.co/2025/05/30/yes-…

Yes, Igor is a stupid name but he is still the best part of Anora

A movie which won 5 Oscars should be quite a good one and definitely worth my time right? So why did Anora leave me wanting for more? What? What? What? Did you not hear what I said? I said it’…

Are Thunderbolts* here to save Marvel?

It’s been a while since I’ve been genuinely excited to see a Marvel movie—and to be honest, Thunderbolts* wasn’t exactly something I’d been anticipating for years either. In fact, I only became int…

Felt like writing today so here's another blog post. It is a review on Ballerina (2023) 🩰 but it also includes an existential crisis moment. 🫠 mettelray.co/2025/05/07/reve…

Revenge but make it girly, and the ongoing crisis of the mind

Honestly, I was just looking for some easy entertainment that didn’t require a lot of brainpower, and the South Korean action movie Ballerina (2023) seemed like a good fit. By the end, it delivered…

Mickey is dying to save mankind

What if the value of our life was measured only by our death? What if we were simply seen as a throw-away human, who we not see as human but as an expendable clog in the machine? In 2050, to escape…
