Amazing feeling, When you win an immigration appeal without a IAD hearing, just based on your submission.
A spousal pr application which was refused because the spouse was not assessed in the primary applicant PR application.
It is now being reopened.
Its a great day.

🚨 EXPRESS ENTRY REFORM: ARE WE REWARDING HIGH-WAGE WORKERS OR GIVING MORE POWER TO EMPLOYERS?
As a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), I have serious concerns about the proposed changes to the Express Entry CRS points system.
During consultations:
🇨🇦 IRCC: “We want to attract and retain high-wage workers who contribute to Canada's economy.”
When the changes are announced:
🇨🇦 IRCC: “Additional CRS points for candidates with job offers in designated high-wage occupations.”
But wait. Let's ask some important questions.
❓ Does the applicant actually need to earn a high wage?
Apparently, NO! The focus is on the occupation and job offer, not necessarily the worker's actual salary.
❓ Will years of Canadian work experience in these occupations carry more weight than a job offer?
Not necessarily! An applicant with substantial experience could find themselves at a disadvantage compared with someone receiving additional points through a qualifying job offer.
❓ What happens to the integrity of Express Entry?
We have already seen concerns about fraudulent and purchased LMIA-supported job offers. Creating another pathway where a job offer delivers a significant CRS advantage risks encouraging similar abuse.
❓ Who gains more bargaining power?
EMPLOYERS, NOT WORKERS.
Instead of rewarding proven skills, Canadian work experience, and actual earnings, we risk making workers increasingly dependent on employers to secure permanent residence.
My concern is simple:
If the objective is to retain high-wage talent, why not ONLY reward verified Canadian earnings, relevant work experience, and demonstrated contributions?
Why should access to an employer's job offer potentially outweigh years of proven experience?
Express Entry should reward the value a worker brings to Canada, not simply their ability to obtain a job offer.

Effective November 3, 2026, we will update Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to better select skilled immigrants whose experience and qualifications support Canada’s economic growth and labour market needs. This is the first step in broader reforms to modernize Express Entry and reduce red tape by improving efficiency across our programs.
Here’s what you need to know:
•Candidates in high-wage occupations with eligible Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer will receive additional CRS points, increasing their competitiveness for permanent residence.
•The removal of LMIA requirements does not apply to other programs. The change applies only to qualifying job offers under Express Entry. Employers must continue to meet the recruitment and other requirements of any other applicable immigration program, including the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
•To make the process more efficient for Express Entry applicants and their employers, IRCC will assess qualifying job offers directly, removing the need for a separate labour market impact assessment (LMIA) by Employment and Social Development Canada. Officers will review information about the employer, the job offer and the candidate’s qualifications, and may request additional information to verify that offers are genuine and meet program requirements. These checks will help maintain program integrity and protect against fraud.

From the description of job offer in this page. I am inclined to think that this will be an offer of employment generated by IRCC employer portal by paying $230 fees.
However, clarity is missing at this point.
