I joined @Ramapo_PD yesterday for the annual memorial ceremony in Nyack on the 45th anniversary of the murders of Sgt Edward O'Grady, P.O. Waverly Brown and Brinks Guard Peter Paige by domestic terrorists. Their bravery and heroism will not be forgotten.

On the third anniversary of the heinous Hamas attack on Israel in which 1200 were murdered and 251 taken hostage on the deadliest day for the Jewish community since the Holocaust, we remember the victims and their families whose suffering continues. May their memory be a blessing

October 7 is a day to remember the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, when Hamas terrorists murdered some 1,200 people, raped and mutilated victims, and kidnapped hundreds more. For Mayor Mamdani, who represents the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, to use this day of mourning to push his extreme anti-Israel agenda diminishes the gravity of the day and disrespects the victims.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

Amen. Thank you @RitchieTorres
The world demonizes Israel 365 days a year. Perhaps, for just one day—October 7th—the critics of Israel could take a vacation from their hysterical hatred of the world’s only Jewish State and find it within themselves to express condolences for the thousands of Israelis murdered, maimed, mutilated, raped, and abducted at the hands of Hamas.

Enhanced patrols and security measures are planned throughout the community, including increased police visibility around synagogues and other locations where large gatherings are expected, along with the use of Drone as First Responder program and other public-safety resources.

25 years ago today, the world we knew changed suddenly & forever. We must never forget the nearly 3,000 Americans, including Ramapo residents, who were taken from us on 9/11/2001 in a heinous act of terror. May their memory be a blessing.

May we also remember and once again share that spirit of unity we felt in the wake of this atrocity, when all Americans united in grief and resolve.

We mourn the loss of Wilbur T. Aldridge, former NAACP Regional Director & a tireless advocate for civil rights. Wilbur was never afraid to speak out against injustice; from fighting segregation in the 1960's South to his 43 year service on the County Rent Guidelines Board.
