““The most dangerous things in Denver right now are not guns. They are not speeding cars; they are little blue pills of fentanyl, and it’s not even close,” Johnston said, noting that nearly 350 people in Denver have died from drug overdoses over the past year.” #copolitics denverpost.com/2026/10/15/de…

The funding for treatment comes from the $50 billion state budget. This measure is both necessary and common sense - which is why even a majority of Democratic voters in Colorado support it! #copolitics

Thanks for asking! 1. It would be a $2.7 billion blank check for politicians. 2. It would allow for “added taxes” on everyone’s income. 3. It would put tax deductions for seniors and veterans at risk. Good news, though! People are realizing it - and opposition is growing. #copolitics

People just have to read the ballot question. Amendment 87 would allow for “added taxes” on income. Very straightforward. Good to see voters getting educated about what this measure really does! #copolitics
This morning’s text blast from Colorado Dawn ups the bullshit ante even higher, turning a tax cut for 97% of Coloradans into “added taxes on everyone’s income.” The whole game now is to shovel out the lies faster than they can be debunked. coloradopols.com/diary/22927… #copolitics

The Denver Post is right about Prop 132. It would provide a pathway for treatment for users, while holding fentanyl dealers accountable. Vote Yes! #copolitics

The constitution supersedes any statute. #copolitics
Thanks Scott! The measure requires all taxable net income to be taxed. This would be a strict mandate in the state constitution. State deductions and subtractions would be on the chopping block. It’s pretty straightforward. Bell Policy made a choice to do it this way. #copolitics

Of course the measure provides more treatment. The state would be mandated to provide it. Treatment is the best way to save lives! #copolitics
Like you, I’m getting messages with lies about Proposition 132. This would criminalize addiction, significantly expand private prisons, and would not give a dollar to treatment. If you want to know how I really feel, read my response. Please vote NO!

Colorado is one of only 4 states to see an increase in fentanyl overdose deaths. Is this measure backed by people who care about saving lives? It is. #copolitics
A conservative dark money group is running Prop 132 asking voters to put more Coloradans in prison for fentanyl. Is it backed by people who make money off private prisons? Don’t know. It’s dark money.

I asked Michael if he can show us where CO's newly qualified graduated income tax proposal gets rid of tax breaks for low income seniors and veterans. He can't, because its not in there. #copolitics

Blaming Title Board is a weak argument. Bell Policy chose to use sloppy language in order to avoid needing to get 55%. I’m sure they already regret it. #copolitics
Replying to @MichaelCLFields
Thanks, Michael, but if you'll recall all the way back to 2020, the title board had no problem with us removing the prohibition on a graduated income tax from our constitution without the acrobatics they required this year. Let's review...

Prop NN and progressive tax hike are literally running the measures together. Trying to take $7.2 billion from Coloradans. #copolitics
Replying to @MichaelCLFields
Blur the lines all you want, but I had nothing to do with putting NN on the ballot. The bottom line is you're fighting to keep taxes low for your billionaire boss, and you don't care if that deprives working Coloradans of the tax cut we're offering with the graduated income tax.

Scott, I fully believe that if you were still in charge at Bell this wouldn’t have happened. But the new guy put a line in that requires all income to be taxed. That has a big impact on deductions and subtractions. And it would be in the Constitution. Voters deserve to know! #copolitics
There are plenty of valid reasons to oppose CO’s graduated tax proposal, but this slop about raising taxes on seniors & veterans is the definition of misinformation. Read the measure. You’ll find nothing that does that. It’s says a lot that this is their main talking point.

Not only would all seniors on social security and veterans with military pensions pay more under your tax hike, but you’re also working directly with Prop NN supporters to raise taxes on all Coloradans by taking away their TABOR tax refunds. That’s up to $7.2 billion in increased taxes! #copolitics
Replying to @MichaelCLFields
Under the graduated income tax, no senior, veteran, or small business owner will see their taxes go up unless they're making more than $500,000 per year. Your dishonesty only reveals the weakness of your actual goal: keeping taxes low for the rich. whoisadvancecolorado.org/
