Don't ever use Guest Reservations to book a hotel. On top of the headline price in bold lettering, before you know it they've added
20% for "tax recovery charges", whatever that means, & 40% "service fees ". 60% extra in all. Contemptuous capitalism at its very worst.

Michael Carrick will doubtless pay the price with his job for this deserved defeat to an excellent Bournemouth side and another lifeless display by his Manchester United team. Some of his selections and tactics have been questionable, United were again so open in the centre. But Carrick was not responsible for recruiting Youri Tielemans, who lacks physicality and mobility (and Aston Villa haven’t missed him) and Andrey Santos, a Chelsea reserve.
Carrick was not responsible for the board’s damaging failure to strengthen at centre-back and left-back. Carrick was not responsible for his main striker Benjamin Sesko being injured and the board’s failure to provide him with cover. Carrick was not responsible for the club he loves being in the grip of co-owners like the Glazers whose priorities are focused more on business than the sport. The direction from the top has been negligible, arguably negligent. No real leadership. No expertise.
Carrick may be out of his depth but many United fans sang his name during the painful demise to Bournemouth because they know he cares and they know the problems lie elsewhere. The Stretford End again sang in protest at the wretched Glazers.
Noticeable that there were few songs in support of Bruno Fernandes. He is supposed to be captain, rallying the players, Footballer of the Year, Player of the Year, not arm-waver of the year, underachieving and complaining. Yet Bruno will be at United longer than Carrick.
Carrick was praised for United finishing third last season and getting in the Champions League. But he will doubtless go partly for his own failings and mainly the failings of others. And United will be trapped in this doom loop again. And again until the core problems are addressed in the boardroom - and the Glazers sell up - and flaws in the recruitment department. #MUFC #MUNBOU

You know those seats where the long term ST holders were turfed out for the Premium seats. We’ll surprise surprise they can’t sell them when we’re shite
Why do people serving in shops, cafes nowadays often add "today" onto their questions? eg. "Would you like milk, today?". How does the word "today" help? Isn't it obvious that if I want milk I'd like it "today"? How would they respond if I said "No, I'd like it a week on Tuesday please."

🔵HENDON: Ameet Jogia was tonight selected as Conservative candidate again for the next election. He lost the seat to Labour in 2024, but by a margin of just 15 votes.

Como 4 Comatose 0. Embarrassing by Manchester United. No fight, no concentration, no tracking, no marking. This is down to the board for poor recruitment, to players for not working hard enough and to Carrick for not inspiring or organising them. Woeful. #MUFC

Thank you! Yes, we’ve been looking at this for years. Our latest investigation found we could even list 10 Downing Street as a holiday home on Booking.com.
Take a look at our video here 👇xitter.cf/WhichUK/status/2095079…
Fancy a stay at 10 Downing Street?
We listed the Prime Minister’s famous address as a holiday rental and managed to make a test payment, publish a fake 10/10 review and even send an external weblink through @bookingcom messaging system

🔵CLACTON: Tories struggling with this selection. Software problems. Not many good applicants. One very promising young man, but not yet on CCHQ candidates' list. Giles Watling, MP beaten by Farage in 2024, willing to return if CCHQ think he's best person to beat Reform.

Which? magazine urges people to stop using Booking.com on the grounds they are hopeless at detecting scams on their site. Quite right too. Use Booking.com at your peril.
