Happy to share research with my coauthor @edu_tuan on teacher characteristics at the intersection of rural settings and school choice. Using national data, we find that rural charter teachers more resemble rural and urban/sub TPS teachers in terms of attrition rates. 1/4

We look at how teachers resemble their principals and students in rural & charter contexts, finding rural charter tchrs are more likely to be of the same race as principal and students than urb/sub charter tchrs, and less likely to match their students than rural TPS tchrs. 3/4

A perfect example of Simpson's paradox!
