That's a phenomenal win for UMass for a number of reasons but to snap that 4-game slide is so important for the Minutemen It shows they can still compete in the MAC and it keeps legitimate bowl hopes alive and well On to Toledo next week in a huge litmus test

UMass wins in OT 31-30 and the University of Massachusetts have set an FBS record with their 5th victory of the season It's a record breaking night in Amherst. Minutemen are off the schneid and have their sights set on bowl eligibility Helluva #MACtion Wednesday in the 413

Pop Watson walks it in! UMass scores their TD and they just need the PAT for a record win

Ball State scores a TD to open OT and it's 30-24 after a shanked PAT UMass up next needing a TD themselves to grab a win Huge opening here for the Minutemen

UMass kneels and we'll go to OT

Ball State ends up walking it down for a TD and we have a tie game in Amherst 24-24 with :25 left UMass has all their timeouts fwiw

These commercial breaks are interminable in CFB games There's no way they should be this long

UMass put together a great drive on offense but once inside the 5 they could not punch it in Morris coverts the chip shot to make it a 24-17 Minutemen lead late in the 4Q Ball State needs a TD otherwise UMass is in good shape

Pop gets the designed run and he punches it in for 6 and a huge turnaround offensive drive for UMass gets them back the lead 21-17 That drive was the @WW3thefuture show

Back to back 40+ yard passes from Pop to TY and Kezion has UMass at the 1 yard line

UMass' defense had been doing yeomens' work too but even they couldn't make every stop UMass' offense needs to give them a rest here and put together a drive that ends in points

Ball State turns the turnover into a quick TD and retake the lead 17-14 UMass has to protect the ball better and cannot beat themselves if they want this one tonight

UMass was marching on offense but TY Harding loses a fumble for the 2nd time tonight and Ball State will take over That is a killer for the Minutemen, ball security is job security. Really surprised at Harding tonight

Halftime in Amherst and UMass has a 14-10 lead and you know they are feeling good after that late 1H TD Ball State will receive the 2H kick Took 29 minutes but we finally got some action for #MACtion

That was the first throw tonight where Pop truly looked comfortable and it's a massive hit 🎯

UMass explosive 🧨 as @WW3thefuture finds @1JabariLewis for a 65-yard TD strike to give the Minutemen the lead 14-10 Boom 💥🤯

UMass' defense bends but holds and Ball State settles for a FG to take a 10-7 lead just before the half

Massive series for the UMass defense as they forced Ball State backwards and made them punt Minutemen offense needs to stay on the field here

UMass' defense has been stepping up but a bad turnover from the Minutemen on their latest offensive possession gives it right back to Ball State just outside the red zone

UMass makes the most of their first drive of the 2H, @ElijahFaulk123 finishes it off with a 1 yard TD and we have a tie game 7-7
