I am running to become Mississippi’s next Lieutenant Governor! I’ve been a conservative fighter in the State Senate and as your Secretary of State; it’s time for the next fight.
I believe our state’s brightest days are still ahead—and that we’ll make this the best place to live, work and raise a family for my daughters and your children and grandchildren too. So join me and let’s make Mississippi even BETTER!

Illegal aliens shouldn’t determine how many seats a state gets in Congress.
Congress represents American citizens. The Census should reflect that.
Florida law mandates paper ballots for voting and when disputes occur, the paper ballot is the best evidence of voter intent. All voting equipment is tested and certified by the State before it can be deployed by a county Supervisor of Elections. Furthermore, in advance of each election the voting equipment is tested to ensure ballots are printed correctly and that the voting system is tabulating votes correctly. These tests, known as Logic and Accuracy Testing, are publicly noticed in advance and open to the public.
With this said, Federal law requires the provisions of voting equipment for use by persons with disabilities as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA). Because the law prohibits voters from being asked to prove their disability, if someone requests to vote on an ADA compliant system, they are allowed to vote in this manner.
Every election cycle we receive reports of voters having difficulties with the ADA voting machines. It is incumbent on voters who choose this method to read and follow all instructions and they must make selections carefully using the marking devices provided. We encourage voters to review their selections before tabulation and notify poll workers of any issues.
Here is the critical part:
Voters must be afforded the opportunity to vote a paper ballot as no one is required to vote using the ADA equipment. Some counties push voters to this method, however the Legislature changed the law with respect to the use of the ADA equipment but it won't take effect until 2027.
If a voter is told they cannot vote using a paper ballot they should immediately contact the Department of State.

When someone tells you that “a few non-citizen votes don’t matter,” just remind them that 1,376 elections have ended in ties, and 533 have been decided by one vote.
And as the @PILFoundation says, that “is not an exhaustive or comprehensive list. There are many more tied and close elections out there.”

My friend, @CordByrd, drills it: “What these people never answer is what level of election fraud they are willing to tolerate.”
I watched with interest the @60Minutes report on elections. Being charitable the report was at best incomplete and at worst intentionally misleading. Their main criticism of the effort to prevent non-citizens from voting is that the numbers are small. SMALL NUMBERS MATTER in elections. The 2000 presidential election was decided by 537 votes. A former Speaker of the House lost his first race by 2 votes, a mayoral race was recently decided by one vote. What these people never answer is what level of election fraud they are willing to tolerate.
